The jaundice journey is tough, but hang in there! This will pass! Jaundice can cause babies to be very sleepy and being under the lights can be uncomfortable, both could be what’s contributing to the latching issues. Hang in there and rest when you can! Lots of love from this postpartum nurse!

She’s beautiful, and it happens a lot. I have friends that had the lights at home. I’m so glad you guys are home and healthy.

She's so beautiful. I spent almost a week in the hospital. And then my son spent 2 weeks in the nicu. Proud to say he will be 3 this weekend. Congratulations to you both on your beautiful little girl.

Sending thoughts and prayers! My son had jaundice when he was first born. He was in the hospital for 6 days & his levels got so bad they had him prepped for a blood transfusion. I know how scary of a time this is! Just remember God is watching over her & you as well 💝

Oh Joy and Austin! I totally feel your pain over the Jaundice and “light” therapy! My little Madeline had the same issue and she would cry as she wanted cuddles! They were such hard days as a first time mum! But those days pass eventually and you then have the rest of your lives together, the sun will come out after the storm passes xx

Very cute name! I felt all of your pain in this clip. I just had my first baby three months ago and they wanted to do the same with my little boy. I’m usually agreeable but when I saw that blue light contraption I was like “oh no” and I asked if there was anything else I could do. Thankfully my doctor was amazing and let us go home to put him by a window instead. Praise God his levels came down on their own. I KNOW it was incredibly hard to walk through that with all of the pregnancy hormones, covid solitude, lack of sleep, and constant hospital disruptions. Glad it’s over!

I just stumbled across your channel!! I completely understand wanting to go home and having to stay longer. When I had my daughter, I was diagnosed with severe preeclampsia, so she was a month early. We had to stay in the hospital for 6 days because my blood pressure wouldn't cooperate. Finally it was good enough to send me home on meds, and luckily I was only on them for 6 months. My daughter had no issues, thank God!! Love your little family and her beautiful name ❤️
