She was brought into the plot, to give us the viewers an explanation - why is nobody coming to help, while Japan is getting destroyed by a supervillain. USA sent their strongest one, and she died - which causes riots, looting, robberies and rize of crimes in the entire USA. So other countries decided to not risk their own "main hero" So pretty much this is Japan vs shigaraki alone, from now on. Perfect plot setup if you as me. Without this it would be a plot hole and people would be asking why are other countries not helping ??

my guy thats the MAIN reason she had to go & why it was referred to as an “gamble” on shigforones’s part bc he wasn’t even sure if he could take her out & had both Deku & her fought him the story would be cut to short.

Her ultimate attack is the most powerful in the anime. But she has a disadvantage in terms of defense. But she's really strong.
