Ahhh the cut scenes between you and Jared having a domestic conversation about picking Tom up and then Jared at the end I can’t! You guys are literally couple/family goals! I think I love this much so much because I always see you so together and organized and perfect, but now I can see behind the scenes and see how you aren't that different than me and you get a little frustrated and you struggle some too. You are not failing. You are human and a great reminder to other struggling parents that it is okay to make mistakes. The kids will not remember the few times that you forgot to move the elf. What they will remember is the lessons they learned and all of the great memories you are creating. You are doing a great job and shouldn’t give yourself such a hard time.

I love this. Real-life chaos is so much more relatable than perfection. :) We've scaled our holidays waaaay back; I deal with seasonal depression, and one kid has a really hard time handling anticipation, so we keep it simple. It took me years to learn to do that. This year we didn't even put up a tree (my kids are post-Santa) and it was Christmas all the same without sending me into a nosedive. Thanks for sharing with us :)

Welcome to parenthood! Sweetie it is all crazy and it is a whirlwind event and as I parent, ya I would like to go back and do somethings over but that’s just life.
