I love the Proverbs 31 woman. I have heard it’s about Ruth. My mother sewed, shopped, cooked and took care of her family, and had a garden and canned food. She had a servant’s heart. My mother was an example of the 31 Proverbs woman. I always loved the story of Ruth. ❤️

Some video ideas: 1. Reading and studying the psalms. It could be something you do over 1 year, since there are so many of them. You could include print outs of documents that people can use to follow along with, making it more interactive. 2. Reading and studying Job. Job is a book that many people stay away from because they are uncomfortable with the raw emotion of it, but it is such an impactful book for all of us who have struggled with faith because of our experiences. Again, you can have print outs for people to follow along in the study with you. 3. A video on a list of things that God has taught you through your life and go a bit more into detail about it. It will be impactful and help people relate more 4. Now this is an idea for you and Ashley, and it’s a crazy one, but what if you and Ashley made the psalms into songs and then made a music video of some kind, or maybe just put the audio online of the songs. I’d love to see how you and Ashley would go about it 5. Be the first people to do a Bible study on Song of Songs. So many people stay away from that book and won’t write anything about it because they are uncomfortable, but I believe that it would be really impactful if you rose above the taboo and had a real chat about each chapter of it. Trust me, it would be really refreshing to see Christians who are bold enough to talk about it and in so doing remove the shame that so many people attach to sex and the shame many of us Christians feel even thinking about it for a moment. Ashley, I feel that you would be a good fit for this because you are married.

I believe what you said that since we have God we are women of valor and I believe God instilled in us all of these things that can thrive and flourish through him. Big subject! Pr 31 can apply to a wide range of women, from Rehab to Ruth. Our patriarchs were wildly imperfect men, but eventually ended up in the category of "faithful men of old." (Heb 11:1-31) The same can be said for our matriarchs.

I love Proverbs 31! Our pastor's sermon was on this chapter on Mother's Day. He unpacked it very well and made it feel so uplifting and positive. I love it and I actually felt better about myself after his sermon!

Needed this. God help me to become a proverbs 31 women. Help me become a better mother to my sons. I see so many girls do this, though I understand it’s ok it’s also kinda just idk hearing them talk about it seems as if they do it for aesthetics? Or one girl starts with “ holy girl cute outfit” and though that’s fine, some Christians girls actually do not care to look or be cute. We do everything to honor God, not to be “Cute” in an outfit. Or go workout to have this “perfect “ body. Idk how to explain it, but it just NOT to me to be like how obsessed some Christin girls are with their appearance. I’m more like a John the Baptist. I’m poor, where the same clothings , own 5 outfits and carry on 😅 But it’s how I like it. I give my all to God & don’t care for looking a certain way. Not saying it’s wrong for people to do it, just my personal preference

Proverbs 31 is about Christ and his church; no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation (2 Peter 1: 20). So many people gloss over the first verse: “The words of king Lemuel, the prophecy that his mother taught him." Proverbs 31 is not meant to be a standard for individual women, but is a prophecy about Christ and his church. The virtuous woman is the bride and body of Christ. Her husband is Jesus Christ.

Okay but that’s the point, to not live up to it. It’s written by a man’s mom. No body will be good enough for her little boy, her little prince. That’s why you gotta be kind to your MIL and just do your best. It’s a Jewish beauty standard we don’t have to live up to 😂 Adding after watching the whole thing: So if I am already capable of the proverbs 31 woman’s lifestyle then that’s because Jesus already thinks I am her. And so a Jewish beauty standard is when she is seen the way God sees her.
