I think people need to notice there will be no "genshin killer" some say the only thing that can kill genshin is genshin but last time the community decided to call them out it ended up in the cc world war so idk how true that could be

The proper term we should use is "Competitor" as nobody can kill genshin. All we're seeing online is about 1-5% of the playerbase. There's so much people who will play the game for multitude of reasons outside of combat. The only market that Wuthering would take from genshin is the hardcore players which is already extremely low to begin with. For now, we should just let Wuthering grow its own legs as how genshin started as a BOTW clone then separated through time

I wish people would just forget about wanting to put down Genshin whenever they can, just play Genshin if you want to, and enjoy the new games if you want to. I will always love Genshin, even if I'm burnt out and take a long time doing my quests and events. I still do my dailies so I can save and wish for that one new character I really love, and get signature weapons. The scenery and looks of the game is always great, and new areas like the one in Liyue get me re-energized and happy. I'm going to enjoy the heck out of Wuthering Waves when I can. As a separate... GAME.

As this is coming from kuro games i can guess that the early characters of this game wont be too flashy or eye catching just like pgr but overtime they will be introducing new mechanics with complex characters with more stylish gameplay. The whole narrative of being a Genshin killer is a debate itself, in Mtashed opinion is on which game you will spend more time, but for the majority is relevancy and saying that WW will become more relevant than GI is either too copium or being to confident. What makes a game more relevant ? It not the gameplay, why GTA, FIFA, Fortnite, LOL have massive relevancy ? It not because of their gameplay is better than the other competitiors, FIFA has always been known for a P2W game, some says Apex Legends is better than Fortnite, the debate between LOL and Dota who is better is a legend by itself. But what do they all have in common, is the mass recognition, it easy for people to know and hear about these games and Genshin is the best in the gacha world, like you know it's crazy whenever you show an anime character to someone that have little to no knowledge about the gacha or even anime world and some of them will ask is this a Genshin character ? Whether how you hate on GI gameplay, the player treatment you have to admit that these are some of the biggest brain when it comes to advertising, the concerts, Hoyofairs, the free copyright fee when you want to sell your Genshin merchandise, the collabs, the banners, truly show how even though GI player treatment is not the best when it comes down to business strategies, they easily one of the most impressive.

For end game they should avoid the time limit based levels the should do something different besides that. Like levels where you: *get a star for not getting hit too many times. *get a star for a certain number of parries. *get a star for a certain number of perfect dodges. *get a star for beating the boss.

the problem with oversaturating the game with new systems is making the game look like an MMO, even right now it's hard for me to follow through all hsr new systems because i quit the game for months and now there is so many tabs which is still not too bad, but implementing new systems at a fast rate is a double edge sword, on one hand you keep the interest of old players but it overwhelms newcomers and that exactly what happened to me with black desert online, the game has really cool gameplay but there is SOOOO MUCH random things in my inventory that i can't keep looking for the utility of each one and there is so many combat systems and classes and factions and guilds and quests were too overwhelming that i couldn't find the main quest and ended up uninstalling the game

I think it’s always important to remember that these are GAMES. Maybe it won’t stand the test of time, but if I’m getting a few months of fun content out of something, that’s fine! Not everything has to be a long-lasting live service game.

I quitted genshin almost 2 years ago, but this game looks promising, not commiting the mistake of plumbing down on this game day one, and burning it down, probably I will wait 6 months after release to see if it is really what I expect it to be, hopefully I'll be following you tashed man to see how it develops, I've always liked your approach onthis games, and like your objective critiques, talking about the stuff that could get better.

I would like to calm everyone's expectations on this game being a "genshin killer." I think it will be a better game for people like Mtashed who were disappointed by Genshin's unfulfilled combat potential, but the game industry is littered with the discarded bodies of games and companies made to be "X game killer." WoW killers, Halo killers, CoD killers, LoL killers. Games made with this mentality don't tend to go over well. I mean, look at Tower of Fantasy, the original Genshin killer Also it's just not fair to the game/devs to put them in that forced competition. I remember when Haze came out and was marketed to be a Halo killer. But turns out that was all upper management who did that. The devs were just trying to make a game, and they were drafted into a war they were not trying to fight, much less prepared for. Again, I think this game will be good. I just don't think it's healthy in the long run to keep pitting games against each other like this. Just let games be good on their own merits

My thought is in the end it will come to how fast they can bring out updates and how good they will be, honeymoon phase is availiable for every new nice looking game but in the end it will all be about the updates how strong WuWa will stay and so far noone knows or can predict that. Also the time needed for doing dailys/weeklys and how successfull it will be to play on mobile phones will have an huge impact. Im sure at the beginning it will take alot of Revenue from Hoyo but the majority of people are very invested into Genshin/Starrail now and they dont drop them for a reason, may it be story or may it be exploration. I think if WuWa can reach a Revenue like Nikke or FGO over time, they are already really successfull. I wish it the best cause in the end we all get something good to play if it works. And i wont drop Genshin nor Starrail for it, i will just play it next to it if its not too time demanding.

The attacks you are talking about where your off field characters come and do something are called QTEs. They are from kuros other game punishing gray raven and are a massive part of that game very cool to see it showing up here.

What's going to truly determine this is if it's normie friendly. Genshin is so popular because it's very easy for everyone to pick up and play and get through all of the story. Most random players I co op with to help don't even know the most simple things about builds and such. If WW requires you to play video games well, it will never reach the heights of genshin, and that's honestly sad but a fact. I really want this game to be competition tho like PLEASE. I want it to take off so hoyo has a fire under its ass.

It has been 3 years I had started Genshin, these are reasons why I had loved it personally: vibrant af colors, that medieval fantasy setting, immediate introduction to main story and lore, and MUSIC. Even to unlock teleport towers it was very enjoyable going through the mondstads. If I am being honest, before even knowing artifacts exist and dull blade is useless I knew the combat system, it came naturally to me. I mean what else could you expect when water meets cold(ice)? Really wish WW could give me the same beginner experience.

Still don't get the idea of one game "killing" another. What happened to playing a game just because you enjoy it, and not comparing it to other games?

I'm expecting release any time after June. Imo, The longer they take the better for launch since it's the most important time for the game.

What is even a "killer". Like WW can be and will be successful. But that doesn't mean Genshin will be shut down or anything. It has its dedicated player base. They will continue to add more characters and people are gonna pull for them and you will see insane amount of fanarts of it and cosplays in conventions etc. I really hate this term "Genshin Killer". Same thing with FGO. It has been around for YEARS. And it's still making millions of millions of dollars and still going strong despite not even attempting to change their game to be more modern. So all these games will still be successful and will stick around. It's just now the people will have more options to choose for. You like cool combats and want to test you skills? WW is the way to go. You want something that is more anime like in terms of story and has more lore and beautiful map to explore? Then it's Genshin.

I'm just waiting until Kuro adds characters with domain expansion and more complex kits. And the character switch attack is called QTE. It exists in HI3 and PGR. And they added a team ultimate too. When you equip characters of a specific team they do a attack together. The endgame content is Hologram,most of the players haven't tried it. And those who tried know how difficult it is. And I know they'll add more modes like this. Like how we have Norman war, Babel tower in PGR, which requires different teams and this can also encourage players to pull characters.

Genshin doesn`t need a Gesnhin killer, Genshin killed itself , at least for me. I was a day one player, played every single day till about a month ago. Now i can`t even make myself to open the game. Feels like i just woke up from some kind of a hypnotic state. I only remember the chore like every day feeling that i don`t want to ever feel again while playing a game. I am completelly stress free now and i don`t think i will ever play gacha games ever again.

Well Mtashed, I love hearing your opinions on things and despite usually not agreeing 100%, this is definitely that rare time. WuWa has great potential and I had the same initial thoughts about Genshin back when I first started. Don't get me wrong, I like the game, but it doesn't fully scratch that "Gamer" itch. It's fun and casual, and that's okay, WuWa will hopefully give us what we want

Few things to note, the world feels emptier now because they actually reduced the amount of openworld stuff cuz in CBT1 testers complain that there are just too many "chest hunting" activity. In CBT2, not sure how many noticed, but the chest rewards have pretty much been doubled compare to CBT1. CBT1 chest rewards are pretty much the same with genshin, 2/5/10/20 primo. WW cbt2 chest are now 5/10/20/40. Personally I feel pretty optimistic with how the game will improve in the future, because they have show the players that they are willing to listen and try their best to make something for everyone. Everything that people complain about during CBT1 have been improved by a lot, also see them implemented many things that players have suggested. Overall I think if they keep this up, the game will just keep getting better.

As someone who is extremely hyped for WW. I don't see it being a Genshin Killer, A decent Competition yes but it won't beat Genshin Success. Genshin is just like GTA,Call of Duty, Fortnite etc.... Many games have tried to beat these previously mentioned games/franchises and failed. The only thing that can kill Genshin impact is Genshin Impact/Hoyo 😂.

they need to improve present story and character (example: HSR wildfire boss battle, its epic combination of story build up, music and action scene) genshin MC is finding his sister, HRS finding his past and exploring the world, Wuwa just shows MC pop up and didn't know what to do or what they want to do these are some of the things that can matter as you play the game and I hope they improve it lol I have more to say but I am hype to play none the less

My only gripe with the current game's state is the long ass coolown on the grapple thingy. It's so fun but I feel like it needs to be a lot less limiting for freedom of movement.

No one wants a "Genshin Killer" we want a good game that is competitive to Genshin, so they can both be good. I think the only time people will want this game to be a killer is if it comes out and is a great game and genshin still does nothing to change

25:18 same. I lasted until 3.5 waiting for the magic that I assumed it will have. I enjoyed some of the ride but I got tired of waiting while my characters collected dust(mint?) I, like many, played Genshin for what it could have been. I'm excited for Wuthering Waves and hope it can keep on improving.

I think you described it perfectly, I like videos games alright but I'm not good at them, i can get decent sure but i will struggle and the learning curve might be higher for me than others. Genshin Impact is good for me because it is based around mini game and even the hardest content i can now clear pretty easily after getting over the learning curve and getting my account in shape. Will I try Wuthering Wave? absolutely, it has its own appeal that Genshin doesnt have, do I see myself being as invested? probably not because I already know that it will take me longer to get at a good enough level while playing it and I don't want to become frustrated with myself while playing games when its supposed to be fun and a hobby of mine. Those games have enough similarities to be competitors but i don't think they will appeal to the same crowd and that's completely okay, I like challenging myself with harder games but i like the comfort of being able to fall back on Genshin to enjoy some story and play silly minigames :D

Yeah Wuwa is gonna be great, HSR and Wuwa are gonna be my main game....ZZZ would not stand a chance against Wuwa, and in the future maybe Project Mugen will be its competitor.

the black sheep example you mentioned actually does sound interesting. "that they put thought into it" its a low bar, but like, when has genshin ever done a set up and payoff of any kind in a story lol. its just exposition dumps until the admitidly pretty cool final cutscenes as a reward

the one thing I am worry about is the quality of consistency for their future update, are they able to do the 6 week update every patch, if no then how often are they gonna update? also the content for each patch.

Since echo is one of the most exciting things in the game but has almost no use it would be better if they add weakness mechanics to game by using echoes to help break the enemy defense. Weakness type; Explosion, Slash, Hard Slash, Piercing, etc. This whole new mechanics will add more challenge and also new fun mechanics to the game while also making a use for echoes. New mechanics like: Slash 3x Pierce 4x Explosion 1x to break the enemy defense this mechanics will also fit the game since it's a fast pace combat. They can also use the weakness to double the dmg to stun bar at limited amount of weakness hit.

Mr. Mtashed, i haven't gotten into the beta so I can't really give direct feedback to the game devs. So i'll say my piece here from what I've seen from you and other cc's playing the game. They can make the character gatcha the same as the weapon gatcha atleast for the 1st copy heck they have it in PGR which is, if there is a new character dropping for the first time its 100% guaranteed on x pity and to make it just like PGR make it so when a character reruns its not a 100% rateup. The echo system, I love everything combat related and the fact that we can farm it in the overworld agreeing with your take on the fact that we can do something in the game when there is no stamina, but the stats, you get a new echo it has a main stat which is fixed and 1 rng substat. When you tune it further you unlock all the other available sub-stats wich requires mats locked behind stamina. Now i would like them to drop a whole artifact with all the substats in or make it so when i use said material to unlock a substat i get the substat i want/atleast have some control over it rather than being completely random. Also forgive me if i said anything which is "wrong" or is "misinformation" i haven't got the beta and all the info i got is from seeing other people play it and if i am wrong do correct me.

Would it be asking for too much if WuWa were to implement a Daily login rewards like Epic 7? I would like a Daily login reward that gives me Materials for Echo tuning.

I really like the combat system but i can't try it because of my exams going on. I think I'm going to wait for a year or 6 months to see how the story builds up before actually getting into it seriously. Genshin still has that artistic and cultural thing going for it that gives it a lot more depth for me so I'm not changing just yet. We'll see how it works in 6 months and after

Remember who bought battle royale in the market and how they branch of to different games and yes wuwa will thrive and even leave behind genshin if it is stagnant. I would actually just like to know what the endgame will be like. Will there only be Abyss forever or will there be more difficult engame modes and Will it be extremely difficult despite well developed characters and powerful equipment or will it be like Genshin that after 6 months I will only log in once every 2 weeks to clear the abyss within 10 minutes and log out bored. I'm afraid of wasting my time trying to make my characters stronger for months only to be disappointed in the end because there's nothing to do except walk around stupidly in the over world

I can pretty much guarantee it will not have as deep lore or as good a mystery as Genshin. Genshin's lore and mysteries are ridiculously intense for a gacha game.

As much as I want for the game to take its sweet time I also wanna play it so bad😂. But yeah it still has alot of issues, small issues but noticable ones . So I am guessing the end of Q2 2024 at the earliest or somewhere in Q3 2024.

The real genshin killer is genshin. I'm playing the beta in WuWa and definitely having fun. Exploration is a bit more fun (parkour and the grabbling hook). I do like collecting echos only thing it sucks is substats RNG.

Just look at PGR the other kuro game, its not release that magically at first but over time, kuro learn and study more stuff and so the game. and thats what we expecting from them with wuwa, they would polish the game to be more... polished overtime. they hear the playerbase thats why please give them a good feedback so we can get a better wuwa than this when released dates come

There are still some personal issues I have with traversal- running up walls is really good but gliding is too slow. Given how large and sparse the open world is, this problem will get worse with more expansion updates. Idk how close the teleport points are but it would be really nice to have maybe mounts or increase running and gliding speed by a bit

I wonder if Wuthering Waves will add some raids in the endgame other than just only abyss and rogue like mode. Coop would be more meaningful and harder difficulty bosses.

Wuthering waves is a blast having a ton of fun. Definitely a game to share the same space with genshin for me at least. Hopping between the two will be fun. Still don't have a sword higher than a 3 star though lol

Having played PGR, I'm very optimistic about wuthering waves. Hope it really becomes an alternative to super mario borthers Impact.

If there is no limit on things like energy and resin than people will max everything in day 1. It is made because people will play long term and hook them with minimal objective.

Can you disable the parry icon or whatever it is called when the parry appears? I want to be able to parry it without the game telling me to parry. That icon will be really good for the casual or early players but for late game some of us might find it more fun to do it with our instinct without the game telling us when to do it.
