Customer called to say their hot water would get hot and then go stone cold and to get it to work again they have to reset the boiler…
They said the boiler lights up like a disco, on arrival the boiler was just sat idle with no fault codes, I ran the hot tap and less than a minute the boiler had locked out…
I diagnosed this from my own personal experience and wouldn’t recommend anyone do this without checking manufacturers literature…

Cut hot water pipe and drop the heatexchanger down to remove, then use compression on 15mm hot water pipe

So what is your opinion in regard to taking out the plate to plate in regard to the orientation of the connecting pipe work? Would you ever cut the hot pipe out in certain circumstances? Or always go with pump out ?

What if the boiler was tight up against the wall on the left hand side ?
