Hey guys! In today's video I will be taking you around to see my collection of houseplant pots. I love my collection of planters so I wanted to show you. Hi Harli! I love aged terracotta pots as well. A trick if you want to age new ones quickly is dissolve Epsom salts in a bucket of water and let the whole plant/planter soak in the bucket for 30 mins. Then the salt leeches through the clay and makes white patches and some texture. :) Super easy and effective!

I think it is the most insane thing I have read today. What appears on a old clay pot is simply limescale and fertilizer residue. Nothing desirable in there: the best way to allow unhealthy mold to take hold. This is really not healthy for plants (and humans) which prefer to be watered with non-calcareous water anyway.

Harli,I love your style. I too love how the terracotta ages,I’ve tried to get that white washed out paint look,I got one pot that I did and I love how it turned out! Love how to use all the thrifted glass plates/bowls for drainage saucers! Great video. 💚🪴👌🏻

@@user-rv4jw4qr7z To each their own. My plants have been going through this for years and I've seen no ill-effects. The Magnesium in the Epsom Salt feeds the plant and the salt fights bacteria and mold (I thought). If I ever saw a plant suffering, I'd re pot anyway. Thank you for your reply.

Girl you are holding a business in your hands!! Those flower pots you made are gorgeous!!! I would love them setting with my plants so much!! I'm 63 ,seeing to do that intricate detail is impossible. My brother is a landscaper for some pretty wealthy clients. He has rescued so many pots they wanted to get rid of. Lots of terra cotta and some others too. Some are huge!!! Since he isn't really a houseplant person and lives in a condo, he brings them up to me!!!!! 🎉

I completely stopped buying pots with saucers attached after I lost several plants due to overwatering ( that single hole was totally blocked by mud and roots). For the nice pots without drainage I have to hunt for the inner pot/liner which I poke with a soldering iron. So I became a regular dollar store customer in search for food containers, small buckets and so on.

I wish i wasn’t an underwaterer, cuz i love terracotta. Especially little baby terracotta. But dang do they dry out sooooo fast! Earth tones and natural materials are my jam

I also shared the idea with my mom of the thrifting some plant finds and it’s our new hobby together thank you ❤

I also love kitchy mid century ceramic planters like your deer. There is such a variety and a very slippery collecting slope!

Hardenbergia violacea for the guy you made at 15.00. It’s shallow rooted and hardy as hell vine. If you give it enough sun it will put out lots of purple pea flowers in spring. The leaves are a really nice tone of green and it grows like crazy. Another underrated Aussie plant.

Definitely not rude to talk about your work. They're really good! I still love the planter I got from you. The flowers are my favorite part. The memoria from you is still in it as well but is actively growing so I'll definitely have to find another starter plant for it when that one outgrows the space.

I love this so much! I also love just collecting different types of vessels and saucers because they're cute or nice, and displaying them so I always have something I love to look at 😊 Your long table and tops of cabinets with all your empty pieces look so nice!

Some of my favorite planters are empty because I like to wait for the perfect plant. I'm so glad I'm not alone :). For the white bubble planter maybe a big silver squill? I feel like the growth pattern would work well for the flatter wider planter.

20:50 - I reckon SOP / SOH or some plants similar would look amazing in this planter. It will trail down the front but leave the rest of the beautiful planter rim exposed

Love it! What a collection! I just use ugly nursery pots (bcuz I overwater and need the drainage holes). But I’m on the lookout for cache pots or some sort of no-hole pot to place them in. I love your idea of terra cotta with a bowl/saucer which can be obtained from the dollar store or thrift store! You’ve given me so many ideas!!! Thank you!!! Have you ever thought about an air plant for a few of your really small pots ? I love my air plants they look so cool in way small planters. I don't have a bunch of them, but they're quirky and looks cool 😎 🤪.

Hi Harli. I have to admit that I wasn't sure if I'd be interested in this particular video about planters. But boy was I wrong!!! I'm only half way through the video and had a couple ideas I wanted to share. Have you ever thought about doing a coffee table book? Or maybe even doing something through Shutterfly. I would definitely be interested and willing to pay if offered. Another idea - Paige Wassel is a prop stylist (who also has a YT channel). I think your style paired with her design and prop expertise would marry well. I just think your style is so authentic, creative and unique. And I appreciate you sharing your thought process on how you come up with these ideas. Believe in yourself - I really think you could go places with this!

My favs out of all of these are your hand made clay white with flowers and hand painted! I wish I had that talent ! Loved this video Would you consider doing a video on your trips? This was such a fun video! Thank you for making this!! For the mushroom pot with no holes (or vase) you suggested maybe an anthurium in moss. Do you have any other plants you suggest growing in moss like that? I have some pots with drainage holes that wouldn’t work as cover pots very well and I don’t know what to put in there!

Thank you for this video. I love the planters that you made and I love how you painter the last one. I'm on a tight budget and I always like to see your ideas for thrifting and making great looking plantres at low cost. They are so very expensive now! I have lots of hobbies too. I just might get my paints out and paint another planter. It's been awhile since I did one. I'd love to see ideas on hanging plants too.😃♥🪴

Love love love this video! Like you, I have slowed down with my plant purchases and have focused more on acquiring unique planters. I too have an area where I display my ready-for-the-right-plant planters. They look so good stacked up, with their varying colours and textures. Why hide them! I just adore the terracotta coloured flower pot that you made!!! PS Oh my goodness! I forgot to mention how much I LOVE the pot that you hand painted (the one shown towards the end of the video). It is absolutely GORGEOUS!

HI, Harli! I love handmade,unusual shaped, aged terracotta pots, too! * have a crassula "fairy" that has stayed small for a long time. It would work well in a smaller pot. as well as a baby small leafed Hoya i.e. curtisii or Krohniana!!

For those amazing small masterpieces I would suggest Haworthia. There are so many shapes and textures to choose. Many of my Haworthias came from Arid Land Greenhouses. They ship succulents and cacti bareroots, and the shipping price is affordable.

I REALLY love the shape of the pots you made. I'd love to get some slightly larger because I often have the problem with plants that need height (because they hang down) but don't need a huge pot. For example, your " wonky" pilea or vining plants like pothos. I actually fell in love with the white "mushroomy" one you showed shortly after yours until I realized the vessel went all the way to the bottom. I would probably use that one as more of a saucer with a small planter that can nestle into the rounder top...or even better, put a small planter bag in it that can form to the shape a bit better. I love that there is a channel where I can gush about things like planter shapes with people who also appreciate it. Lol. I see a cute container at a friends house and go on about how it would be a great planter (in detail and why) and could get some funny looks. Lol.
