If you want to break the bad habit try associating it with pride. For instance, If you want to stop smoking, try to convince yourself that you are conscious and have control over your life. This helped me a lot changing habits. This technique of changing habit is discussed in the book Atomic Habit.

I’m not condoning lying but the first lady gives out controlling vibes. It’s one thing to disagree with your husband over his habits, but shaking because a grown adult isn’t changing something you want him to isn’t normal behaviour either. I don’t know why Junaid didn’t see it but the pattern the husband is following usually happens when spouses try to control the other one. They resort to lying and deceit. The lady is ruining her mental health to protect her husband’s physical health, who doesn’t seem too bothered. You did your job, now it’s up to him. Don’t give up on your stance but constantly fighting this battle isn’t going to do you and your mental health any good.

Question 1: I'm not saying you should vape, but don't misinform people. Vape juice has propylene glycol, vegetable glycerine, nicotine salts or freebase and flavoring. The vapor itself has trace amounts of formaldehyde (which is a carcinogen) . Propylene glycol has E numbers in Europe and is approved by FDA, it is used in food, cosmetics and medicines. Just labeling it as "Petroleum" product is pretty uneducated since many petroleum by products are used in food and medicines. It is not a first hand by product of petroleum, it is obtained by oxidation of propylene

I started vape to stop smoking, but i got into smoking again. But, i quit cigarettes and vaping cold turkey and I am determined to continue. Believe me, it is not easy; especially when most of your friends and colleagues do it!

I have smoked for 10 years. I was 14 years old when I got into the habit of smoking. I loved it! The feeling, the happiness and the satisfaction of smoking a cigarette was awesome. Cigarettes are smoker's best friends. Now please read my comment because it might help a lot of people. To all those smokers (junaid bhai included) who have quit smoking i want to tell you that your chance of being a smoker again is really high. I hope that doesn't happen but it will. Like junaid bhai said in this video "mainay 2 kush lagai thay" this 2 kush will eventually weaken you Smoking comes with a lot of deception, there is the addiction of nicotine and when you smoke a cigarette to satisfy the craving of your nicotine then your brain links whatever you're doing with cigarettes Now think about why you love cigarettes after food, why a cigarette while talking to friends, or sitting alone etc In all of these scenarios just imagine that you are not just smoking, you are doing something else. Meaning if you are with friends you are talking to your friends, after a meal you are maybe in your own company a me time basically or you are on your phone. In all of these scenarios your brain links the activity with cigarettes which is why you think that smoking it with friends after a meal etc will be more enjoyable. These all are smoking deceptions Smoking basically rewires your brain with these smoking deceptions now there are two ways to quit smoking 1. Self control: The way which junaid bhai and many people do. 2. Rewiring your brain: Basically understand the problem and try working on that Now I know that you might be wondering how I quit smoking. I am glad you asked I was 24 in 2021 and i was coming back to Lahore from a funeral in Sargodha. I was on the bus and craving a cigarette. I wanted to smoke so badly but couldn't. I am an IT guy so I was on my phone and I was curious that we have an app for everything then there might be an app for smoking as well. I looked it up and ended up on an application called QuitSure and they claimed a 95% success rate, they said that you will quit smoking in 6-12 days, during the entire program you will smoke and with an app rating of 4.9 or something I was like lol there is no way that this is true. But i got curious and I downloaded the app. A good thing was that they had made the paid subscription free during the covid. This is a charity application basically So anyway I got into it and I thought that there is no way that this app is designed for a desi mind. I started at the start of August 2021. They had 6 modules each that took around 15mins. If you complete all those modules properly in 6 days or max of 12 days then you will be able to quit smoking without any regrets or anything I tried and I have been a non smoker from mid of August 2021 - till now I even bought a free base vape (0% nicotine) just to smoke something in September and my brain is so rewired that I ended up selling it back again in 2 weeks I don't crave for any cigarettes, my friends still smoke, sheesha, vape etc and now I don't even think about this stuff. I am so happy with the fresh air that goes into my lungs. I am so satisfied with the full breath I can take now I am never going back again INSHALLAH I even showed this to a friend and he quit smoking as well but he tried another app. I don't remember the name of that app Anyway I hope that this comment helped. Junaid bhai I will highly recommend you to check this all even if you are not smoking The good thing is after you have gone through with this process then you will have a clear mind and understanding of how these cigarettes work and you will be happy that you are not manipulated with a paper stick. @40:34 totally agree with you. During Ramzan in Melbourne, I was in the masjid for Taraweh, feeling under the weather (having a headache). I went back and sat there. In the next rakah, you had to do sajdah. when it was over, an uncle (maybe in his 70's+) came to me and said why didn't you do sajdah? why are you sitting at the back? I told him that I am not feeling well. I don't recall what he said after that. It was back in 2015.

38:15 That is so true. I'm lucky that in my Mosque, we have table tennis and badminton etc, so that we can play before or after namaz. That gets kids in as well as adults, and we all have fun. During Namaz, we're not allowed to play, but we can come in anytime before or after to play or stay even past midnight if we want to play.

For the first question, realize it's easier to change what we do rather than force others to change. Now yes lying is bad but we also must realize why people lie. Is it possible that because of your panic attacks that your husband started hiding it from you? Did you make it a safe space for him to tell you that he is smoking or when he told you, the responses were always fights. I would say you guys should get some couples counselling and in that you can ask for methods to cut smoking. But always keep a cool head otherwise communication breaks down.

The first woman obviously has control issues. Like give your man some space and stop breathing down his neck. Give him a chance to grow out of it on his own. Obviously he hides it because you pester him like a mother. Ironically women don't like mama's boys but wives can act like controlling moms? Plus this breach BS is sooo extra from Akram and to insinuate he will go from vaping to even worse things is soo simplistic and judgemental. In this entire conversation no one paused to think is the guy going through something? is he trying to cope with some stress at work or at home? Me as a 23 year old woman working on my financial and social independence has been a serious bone of contention at home. Like for the past 4 years I've been constantly tortured by my parents that being a girl you should be finding someone who can elevate you in all (especially khandani and financial) matters but I always tell them to give me some air so I could just breathe and work on myself before bumping into someone with empty hands expecting him to treat me like a queen. Due to this strain and pressure that I get from my family I'm planning on moving abroad because all of my friends telling me this one same thing that "Pakistan ma larki ko shadi or bachy hi karny Hoty ha ". Sadly, Pakistan's society suffocate my type of women who really want to make a difference in order to diminish this poisoned attitude of relying on men for everything. I'll leave Pakistan soon coz there's no room for women here who want to do something different than just making babies.

Religion is very important for a Muslim and I can understand your parents freaking out after hearing it. Try listening to scholars and read books rather than listening to your brother about Islam. Dr here. Did you guys know father genes determine how healthy the placenta will be when she gets pregnant. Meaning the sac from which the baby gets nutrients is directly determined by the fathers health and genes. So, when someone says we are starting a family and maybe srop smoking. She may bear for herself. But she wont bear for her baby to be born un healthy. We have been exposed to smoke and vape and under peer pressure jab aik mastanda college me vape karta ha or chawal larkian uspay is harqat pey swoon karti ha it DOES create peer pressure or jisnay nai b karni hoti wo karleta.

Just wanted to correct you ganji bhai, vapes flavour contain pg (propylene glycol) and vg ( vegetable glycerin) and if the flavour is nicotine based so it have nicotine and if someone is using 0 mg nicotine then no nicotine

Cut the guy some slack. This is a toxic woman, today she wants to control this and tomorrow it’s gonna be something else. Relationship requires mutual trust but if you freak out at the idea of your husband smoking, you need therapy, not him. Just because someone is married, doesn’t mean he/she cannot have a personal life. If you don’t give him space and freak out at when he shares his smoking habits, he is definitely not going to be honest to you. If you really want him to stop, build trust and work with him rather than confronting.

Hi. To anyone reading this comment I will be very grateful if I could get some knowledge on vaping. I’m a 35 year old male who stopped smoking but is now addicted to vape. I literally do it all the time (but I don’t smoke cigarettes) I use 25 mg liquid. I don’t have too much knowledge on vaping but just enjoy it. Tbh it is like a thrill in my monotonous life. Can someone tell me how harmful vaping is? Is it harmful or not? And what exactly is it in? Is it safer than smoking cigarettes? I am tense that i do it all the time.. I have NO KNOWLEDGE ON VAPING. I WILL BE SO GRATEFUL TO YOU ALL IF YOU GIVE ME SOME INFORMATION ON VAPING. Thanks in advance!

As someone who is an atheist myself first of all i love your take on most things and love your impact on pakistan but while i do understand your answer but i felt that you somewhat undermined the validity of his beliefs no most atheists are not turned away from religion just because of the religious people we put in alot of logical considerations into our beliefs and I think you failed to respect that belief I am 100% sure that no aalim however nice he may be can convince me to go back to religion but at the same timw i think that i should be able to have a discussion with that aalim without being afraid for my life I think peiple is pakistan need to start treating atheism as a valid "ideology" like we do for other religions rather than infantalizing us and saying oh yeh tou confused bache hain I think we deserve enough respect that you can acknowledge that we atleast thought our whole belief system through and are not just operating on hate for the religious
