A young meru lady who got divorced from Luhya also told me the same, they practice witchcraft a lot. What they do is they pretend to be good during courtship then after marriage ndio utakiona. Another lady, a kikuyu married to a luo was saying that the practices are just absurd.>> that mtoto lazima anyolewe na nyanya yake, if that's not done then the baby will die. And they don't tell you this stuff before marriage. you only know later.

@@susanapollo284 I have actually experienced the same with my mother in law. She treated me so badly and didn't want me to get married to her son among many other things. The things my mother in law has gone through have been so painful and at some point I just felt sorry for her. What goes around comes around. Treat someone else's daughter the same way you would want yours to be treated.

Many people cheat in the media that they will help, they are consulted but after sometime they disappear without trace,many victims don't even have money for legal fees,when the case becomes difficult they fly win no trace,leaving even more pain,you see the victim had hope and does everything to follow up only to be left hanging, stop media publicity.

Media publicity -you will get lost without trace after taking people in circles. Many victims are left with nothing and cant even afford money for legal fees, very few or none who can help without asking big amounts of money, just know the other family is ready to take on the fight to a higher level, they will fight back using all the means.

Kwanza this thing of in laws assuming the things you have are all bought by the son needs to end. Most women are literally providing in their families nowadays and have their own money. My cucu has always said my son's money and my father has always been honest to tell us that mum earns more and respects her for that yet cucu believes pesa niza son yake. Wanawake tuko na pesa all we do is that we dnt go advertising and choose to respect our husbands.

Jesus, my mum went through this 28 years ago, everyone turned against us and wanted to take everything, they insulted my mom. My aunties and uncles who my parents paid for their school fees and let them live with us , all turned against us, my auntie almost beat my mum up. They said that now we will know where we are going to have money to eat meat everyday and buy groceries. But look at all of us now, all his three girls have American citizenship, my brother an account, we are doing well, now they are all trying to befriend and come back.

Liz,so is it bad for a Kikuyu lady to settle down with a Luo guy? Many are married in Nyanza and so does many Luo ladies in Central. This Luo - Kikuyu thing I just feel its something that shouldn't be a question as all Kenyans are free to marry nationwide. Love has no bounds and you shouldn't ask such questions in your interviews whether she or he feels/felt comfortable with a partner from another tribe. To our shemeji Esther Wanjiku,I come from HomaBay and I feel sorry for what you're subjected to especially the post trauma that befell on you. May God bless you and your son.

My thoughts exactly!! This has nothing to do with tribe in fact I encourage intermarriages to unite us as Kenyans coz that’s who we are! This unfortunately is a common issue with in laws amongst African not just Kenyans. Love has no boundaries!! This lady is amazing I love the way she’s proud of her hubby. @DorothyKinuthia personally you're very tribal, I've got many Kikuyu friends both ladies and gentlemen and I have never come across any of them being tribal towards me cos we're all Kenyans. Stop generalizing Luos as tribal,I have been denied a job opportunity by an employer who happened to be a Kikuyu even after passing the interview and having the right papers and later on issuing the chance to a fellow Kikuyu. To the in-laws know that whatever your doing to the widows and orphans after your brothers died God will punish you faithfully.
