When a person introduces themselves in Navajo formally, they share personal information about themselves, such as their clans, where their from, & their family. In this vid, I posted my own introduction. I've included other things such as favorite movie, favorite songs, etc.
These last items are usually not given in a formal Navajo introduction but I thought it would be cool to hear what that would sound like. Enjoy!
Note: English subtitiles are included if you have little to no understanding of the Navajo language, but annotations must be set to ON to see the subtitles!
This video is also a video that incorporates how to say the numbers one through ten in Navajo.

This is great! I'm Iroquois and it is difficult to find people as fluent as you are in a Native language... a lot of people don't realize how much culture language is, it's all culture.

Wow! I've only heard Navajo spoke once when I was passing through Navajo Nation in Northern Arizona. It's Such a unique-sounding language with consonant sounds like no other in the world!

Thank you for your introduction in the Navajo language. I'm highly interested in languages and cultures. So you gave me a good first impression. Thank you! I'm a German teacher and a passionate handspinner and follower of your famous artist Clara Sherman. Her videos taught me how to spin wool with a Navajo spindle. Greetings from Germany, Eva

Cool! I'm 100% Navajo and I've sub to your Ch. I been living in Japan for 20 yrs and it would be great to get to know the language again. It would be cool if we can become friends. My dad lives in Chinle so I know that area very well. Fished Tsaile often. Great memories. ^^

Yá'át'ééh, Terry, and ahehee! I'm thrilled to find your videos--they are so helpful! I started studying Navajo last year. I've found books & CDs but it helps even more to see you speaking. I am a bilagaana but I love traveling in Diné Bikeyah, and I find the language beautiful and fascinating.

I think it's wonderful that you're preserving and passing on knowledge of the Navajo language by recording this video. It's inspiring when so many are turning away from their roots and languages are dying by handfuls every day... :)

Hi! This is great video! I love it because I am a Navajo, and to hear the Navajo lanuage takes me back to my childhood. I live in Utah 1 mile from the Idaho border and am married to a white man. I get teased, not in a bad way, but they say that I am a poor excuse for and indian. I don't even eat meat and become a vegetarian. My Navajo friend calls me a valley girl. Anyways keep these videos coming. Keep up the good work.

I wish I could speak it as fluent as you, I only know enough to keep up a conversation. I'm Navajo from my dad :) Also it's really cool that you're a BigBang fan as well :)

i wanna know if you consider ppl such as the tzotzil Quechua and aymara inuits and mapuche to be native americans?i know thats a lose word but i dont wanna use indian for obvious reasons. not trying to start a war just asking since many ppl dont consider NA from latin america/canada to be "native american".and by that i mean "race" i think evo morales is a good example he looks pure 100% native.i know its implying usa natives but do u consider them to be "cousins"like English r 2 the germans?

Hey there! I happened to run into your comment just now. I couldn't send u a message so I'll just do it one here. I see you've been living in Japan. I'm a Navajo going to travel to Tokyo in a few weeks on June 8th. I was wondering if you can show me around a bit and help me get familiar with some of the things there. I have others I'm gonna meet too, but not at the airport.
