This video made me smile. I personally like the thin pitaka and spigen cases as they dont add to much bulk, but may not offer much drop protection for penguin hands.

i believe screen protectors are specifically designed to take impacts such as drops and crack to distribute the effect of the drop on itself rather than being super strong and potentially cracking the iphone display instead. just like crumple zones in cars are designed to take the force of a impact instead of the impact affecting the people inside the car. that would explain why the back glass protector easily broke on your phone.

Otterbox cases are very good quality, I think, because I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max and an iPad Mini 6 both in an Otterbox case and I drop them so many times, and still, the device and the case don’t have a single scratch. Otterbox cases are also quite grippy, to stop you dropping it in the first place. If you don’t know what Otterbox is, it is one of Apple’s partners, and it makes high quality cases for Apple.

The only move I can think of doing is going back to the iPhone 13 where cases actually fitted the camera module better. The 14s are just too dang big. I’m currently using the otter box defender pro with the same camera protector shown in the video. So far with this case, I’ve only broke one protector.

I can go case less in the house but my iPhone 14 pro is too damn slippery especially when my hands are cold. I love the feeling but maybe if I had a sandstone skin or something with a bit of grip.

Otterbox lumen or symmetry series

Honestly, the Spigen clear case has been my favorite case. I love clear cases and I love a good slim case. This isn’t the slimmest case, but it’s not thick by any means. I get to show off that beautiful Deep Purple color, get to use my MagSafe accessories (mind you I had a 12pro, but this is the first time I’ve used any MagSafe accessories) and it’s still slim where I’m not hating the case or wanting to switch it out. The only mistake I made with this case is having the MagSafe ring in the wrong finish.l It’s been over 2 months and it’s not turning the slightest bit yellow. This case is amazing. And I really want to order a backup one, but why. This case is in great shape and hasn’t discolored. Highly recommend. And when it is time, I will be reordering another Spigen clear case. Along with a few of their other cases.

Thing is using a phone without a case, is not practical. There are people who always make their phones fall down, and a phone case its some kind of a protection. But also phones are slippery. You cant put put a phone on a table in a vertical position without it falling. And im not even speaking about simply putting it horizontally where you might accidentally push it, and it will slide all the way down. So a rubber case helps a lot. And also when you hold it in your hand, its just feels way better to hold it with a rubber/silicone case.

The clear Apple MagSafe case is pricier but it’s the surest bet. It’s thin (not the thinnest) and the MagSafe grip strength is excellent.

Matthew ...you are a Canadian warrior. We Canadians prep well like we do for winter so put a case on. We canadians in full support for cases 😂. I have a UAG case for my IPHONE 8 PLUS, X, dad's 13 pro max and mom's 14 pro max ...trust me they took it to mountains of Kashmir and dropped it multiple times without a scratch so you good to go!

Efm cayman case, clear back with MagSafe, thin black rubber edges for impact protection, has metal camera ring that works well when paired with those camera lense glasses (mine hasnt cracked). Fits like a glove too 👍🏻

Humm I have been using iPhones since 2007 and I had them all naked but I always use screen protector, I never cracked or dropped my iPhones. Both of my currents standard 14 P and 14 PM are naked since launch day and they still look new. Maybe am too used to handle caseless iPhones for years 😊

I recommend tech 21 cases. I’ve used these for the last three phones I’ve had and through many drops (hard wood floors, streets), I’ve never cracked or broken a phone. Plus I like the feel and look of them.

TECH21 I had it on my iPhone 7 and I dropped down flights of stairs, dropped out of my pocket on concrete while running, and face flats on the floor hundreds of times with T-Mobiles screen protector plan and not a single crack. I got one for my 14pro max and already dropped it alot and so far so good. I used to be an otter box fan but ever since their most expensive case for my iPhone 5 completely shattered after a 2 ft drop I’ll never go back.

Spigen is my personal favorite. I have one for my iPhone 7, Galaxy S10 and S21 Ultra and all 3 has worked great. My dad even stole my iPhone 7 case for his SE 3 he liked it so much 🤣

Case suggestion: literally a hollowed out brick

I'd suggest Ringke. They have a wide variety of accesories for the iPhone. They're also not the expensive compared to known case brands like Spigen.

I never use a case on my 14 pro max. Apple spent a lot of time and effort making the design and feel premium. A case takes that away

Just get the Apple case. I have the orange leather one for my iPhone 14 and it’s great! They are expensive, but they have MagSafe and they look and feel great

I sell phones for a living and the Nimbus9 Cirrus 2 Cases are quality and cost effective unless you're really worried you could go with an Otterbox Defender or something like that but those are a bit overkill for most people and expensive.

I usually go for the soft clear tpu cases on amazon ones that look form fitting and dont add too much bulk. with the soft tpu cases it doesn't add weight like with the harder plastic ones. and it feels nice and soft when holding in the hands ("ladies?")

i don’t know about you, but i’m not rich enough to go case-less… meaning buy a replacement phone every time it gets accidentally knocked. the cost of a case and screen protector and replacing them several times over is still practically far cheaper than buying a new phone. and these instances are called accidents for a reason. they happen and often times out of one’s control. and by rich i also mean in time… having the time to deal with the broken phone by going through the warranty process of making an appointment at the local apple store, restoring data to the new phone, etc. time is money. i have better things to do with my time than having to deal with preventable accidents. unpreventable ones are more justifiable.
