I'm absolutely loving them. Still not quite as much as my beloved Rohan, but all the toys they can bring spice things up. ballistas are a blast win or lose. Saruman is great, and Grima is just plain mean. Beserkers are still my fav though. They can do so much heavy lifting. Bombs next...

I was sad to miss out on a ticket to this one, Sanctuary is one of my favourite venues that is close enough to where I live that I wouldn't need to book a hotel.

You should come down to the south east. We are doing a 600pts 2 day event with gbhl on 4/5 May with Ragnarok Hobbies. Very awesome army!

Great showing man. If you can use a suggestion, you should just use the crossbows as normal uruks. They're not really great for staying still all game, you can basically use them as normal uruks with 1 less defense. In the end, they hit just as hard and if they're not doing anything because of blinding light you should probably just give up on letting them sit still

Thanks! Yea absolutely. I was slow learning that lesson but I have finally learned it haha. To a lesser extent, its also true of the ballista crews. 6 more uruks who can get stuck in in a pinch.

Of course. It's doomull brown base. Black wash and slowly built up to Tuskgor fur. When a bit of white mixed in at the lightest bits. Hope that helps?

I'm very tempted lately to start getting into Isengard, I've faced them a few times now and they seem to be very powerful especially with the siege engines and Saruman. I recently came up against an Assault on Helm's Deep Legendary Legion in my second Tourney and well lost pretty badly to it. Still it was a fantastic weekend and got to meet some more lovely people that are into MESBG and a lot of them came from all around Ireland as well so that was awesome. Gaelcon was a brilliant event and I got to play against some very cool lists and loose to most of them but I also finally got a Tourney win just before the Tourney ended. However I still got the Wooden Spoon! Though I don't mind because it was just such a fun weekend. Also before I forget, I brought two 800pts armies one good and one evil and this was my first time playing evil as well so I was rather happy that I ended up playing it 4 times to my goods 2. For Good I brought Minas Tirith with Gandalf on Shadowfax as my leader and then Boromir with Banner of Minas Tirith, Horse and Shield plus Madril. Most of my force was comprised of Osgiliath Vets and then brought Rangers and Citadel Guards with Longbows for shooting, brought a few normal Warriors and a single Knight to round off the list. For Evil I brought Easterlings with Khand as a green alliance, had Rutabi as my leader with Brorgir and a Easterling Cap and lastly a Khandish King on Chariot. Had a Banner and Drum for the Easterlings then a load of Pikes and a few Warriors with sword that were all upgraded to Black Dragons, lastly 6 Acolytes. I had a Khandish Warrior with the axe and two with the bow and then 2 Chariots with axe. It was such a fun list to play and a bit of a challenge so probably not the best one to start with evil but still managed to get a win with them which was a great way to end the weekend.

That's an awesome result! I really want to make it over to an event in your neck of the woods next year. Isengard are great, lots of fun and very forgiving. But Rohan will always be my special someone haha

Maybe even make a video of it and show off the Emerald Isle?? 😂🤞 Yeah Isengard are very tempting especially with that awesome battlehost box of theirs. That's fair, Minas Tirith are my starting army so I'll always have them, really like Boromir with Osgiliath vets.

Hello :) Thanks for you video, I am building a 1000pt Isengard army for a coming local tournament and you upload could not gave dropped at a better time :D Could I ask for you advice on my list :) I suspect their will be a lot of terror of the opposite side (Dunharrow, Dol guldur, Angmar, Barad-Dur) so I tried something you don't see every day : The oathmaker and wildmen. I like them because they are the only part of Dunland you really see in the movie and I find that hey are a good alternatives to orcs in Isengard: they cost the same price but with pijama defense in exchange for Fearless near the oathmaker and the Isengard Keyword, so they don't start to flee before 33% even if the oathmaker is no longer there. And the oathmaker himself act as the might battery for Heroic moves. Saruman on horse 1 Berserk 3 Shield uruks 4 Pike uruks 6 Crossbows (act as 2 groups of 3) 2 Warg riders with shield 1 Crebain Lurtz 2 Berserks 3 Shield uruks 6 Pike uruks (1 with banner) 3 Crossbows 1 Crebain Gorulf 2 Berserks 3 Shield uruks 6 Pike uruks 1 Crebain The Oathmaker 10 Wildmen with axes 2 Wildmen with 2 handed axes (I had 2pt left) 1000pt, 60 models, 9 crossbows What do you think ^^

Hey, I'm really glad you enjoyed the video! I'm certainly no expert, particularly in the Dunlending side. But certainly the fearlessness and beskerkers are brilliant. You also have a good amount of pikes there to double support your beserkers which is a great combination. Crebain are fantastic for objective nabbing (I want some). However, I would absolutely take Grima since you've paid for Saruman - with a horse of his own if possible. You can also take more crossbows! I misused them in my first game, but then used properly they're fantastic. S4 can cause so much havoc. And you can use them to pop out your own models to turn off important enemy heroic combats. Hope that helps a little. they'll be better people around to ask haha (perhaps ask Adam over at 3D Games)
