Ahimsa is common thing in human society. You don't have to follow any religion for ahimsa. You can easily use your logic and come to this conclusion if you hurt others then think how would you feel when you will be hurt by others. Then you won't hurt anyone.

I became optimistic, placing my hope in science and faith in reality. But as I learned more about psychology, I saw the true nature of religion and spirituality. I started questioning why, if God is good and all-powerful, there are more bad things than good. Why are spiritual people so confused and defensive about their beliefs? I realized that spirituality is essentially self-deception.There are many reasons, but this is the gist. I didn't directly transition from theism to spirituality; I maintained some faith in God, which is common among spiritual people. Thanks to my rational and open mindset, I am almost free now, though still haunted by the trauma of God. I still fear ghosts, even knowing they aren't real. I still utter phrases like "hey bhagwan" or "ram ram" despite knowing the suffering caused by these religions. I may have had a difficult life, but I will ensure my children never suffer as I did.
