As a Swede / Finn I am used to the cold and the right gear for that. One advice that is crucial: Do not sweat. Have Merino-wool nearest to your body so it transports away the sweat to the next layer of clothes. Its expensive but saves your life if you have to be outside. Does not have to be merino, cheaper polyester thermal underwear also work, and is as warm, and sometimes warmer than the non-itch slimmer fibers of merino wool. All military grade ofc, else it will burn into your skin if civilian with no flame retardants

Could you describe why you, and properly people in your unit choose the rather minimal platecarrier versus flak jackets or overall vests with more protection? Im a former infantryman myself, and know soft armor is hot and heavy, but looking at the data, most wounds are from artillery/mortars/drones and what you optimized for was against rifle fire, how come? Thank you for your willingness to fight for Ukraine
