I bought the game and I'm just as obsessed.

Ethan Moore, Angelina, the croque monsieur, Kwame, green bearded Jacksepticeye, the CJ lookalike, the poison pawn shop for losing all of their money buying diamonds off of Insym and the finale plot twist, the little man with the huge gun, Rondy. This has been an amazing series and i cant wait to see where the game goes with future updates, thank you Insym

Holy moly. A 6 (?) day streak of SoD? This series was absolutely fantastic, keep up the work (w)insym! :) and also, I enjoyed this series so much, I would love to see this game some more, like once every 1-2 weeks? I think the majority of the comments agree with me 👍

Here is my story about the case: I started the game and chose the assassination tutorial. I went to the apartment of the supposed killer and tried to enter, but I was denied entry. I closed the door on the person and knocked them out by door. When I entered the apartment, I found another person there. I ran around in circles trying to avoid the fists second person. I close the door in front of him and knocking him out. After searching the apartment, I found nothing and began to think that I had entered the wrong apartment. I spent 20 minutes trying to find something and kept introducing the apartment's inhabitants to the door every 5 minutes. I began to think that it wasn't the killer's apartment, but then the supposed killer got up and instead of fighting me, she ran away. I thought she was going to raise the alarm, but she just ran past the buttons and went downstairs. I was like, 'Wait a minute, they don't run to work like that?' I followed her and she ran to an apartment and started picking the lock. I immediately put handcuffs on her and searched her. She had a gun and an ID card. The conclusion is this: if you see someone running past the toilet, then 100% they are the killer.

From the game's discord: Q: "What does difficulty level do?" A: In current build, it only affects how much damage you can take. This is planned to change later in development. So it appears that upping the difficulty doesn't make the mysteries harder to solve (at least at the moment), if anyone was wondering.

"You could just jump down the elevator shaft because you don't take any fall damage... I mean, it would be pretty ridiculous." As soon as I got that sync disk, this went through my head. So I did it. I think it's actually an intended game mechanic, hence the hole to jump down from on top of the elevator. I open the door on every level so I have a fast escape from any situation. Definitely a silly mechanic though. Looking forward to a possible Shadows of Doubt stream in the future!

I can confirm that the people that give you the cases can help you with solving it. I had a case where the only leads were they were "large" and a side note that they were depressed. I got the contacts from the person that gave the case then had to go to every persons house. By the end there was only one person that was large and had antidepression medication in their house. Took forever though! They had an enormous contact book! And it literally happened to be the second to last person I checked lol

Insym letting his intrusive thoughts win was the funniest part!

Insym beating up the residents of a complex in their own building's stairwell basically turned the game into the movie The Raid.

About conflicting reports. It's really important to pay attention to the day the neighbours are talking about, because they can be sharing info on one of the previous cases, even if it happened 7 days ago. Maybe the person who said about conflicting reports didn't pay attention to the date and time. Or maybe it's really a bug

Rolled up to a murder scene to watch the murderer walk out. Casually asked who they were, then rolled up to their work, took their gun and arrested them. Was funny lol

I understand if you wanna quit playing this game until a new update but I love it so much I'd keep watching this. I love putting on your videos and listening to you play while I'm solving my own murder cases. If you do decide to keep playing you should try the largest city on extreme mode. That's what I've been playing on. It's so much fun but still very doable. One thing I noticed on this difficulty is that synth discs, upgrades, and diamonds seem to be more rare. You could also play like I do more more of a challenge and be somewhat of a pacifist. Basically I only rob people, hurt people, arr st people if I have no other choice. Just some ideas to keep things fresh.

I've just solved my first case. The Bloody Assassin, who left a cryptic letter on the scene. It took me a long time to catch them and the only reason I caught them was because I ran into them in the street and recognized them from security cam footage. After tailing them to their work, I realized they work for the pharmacy the victim frequented. Apparently not paying your pharmacist can get you killed. Thanks for showcasing this awesome game.

2 ideas which I like to see in this game is 1 - memory capacity, for how many object (people/item/place/etc.) you are able to remember as reference at a time. Maybe possible to upgrade at a clinic. You will lose some of informations memory depends on injury you get in the game, get hit or stab maybe make you forget something and bedridden injury should lose half of info or more. 2 - NPC using elevator, and police are able to force-call elevator to where they called (like you are escaping polices by elevator, but a police stop you from escaping by force-call that elevator back to their floor, so you maybe need to jump to elevator's roof, or try to open the floor fence and jump out.)

Am I the only one that's upset there wasn't a little montage of Ethan Moore receiving the awesome apartment and stuff? Like him all happy walking into the apartment, him looking out the high windows all excited, him jumping on the bed! I was sad lol. Seriously I'm so sad you're done with this now, I've been obsessed with watching you play this since you started, im just sad it's over 😢 alot of ppl loved you playing this! I hope this isn't really the last of this game.

This was an awesome series, I've tried the game and didn't find it that fun to play, but watching these videos has been really enjoyable. It makes me want to give the game another try at some point.

I loved this series, thank you cause i didn't know this game before and now i'm obsessed! It's a little buggy, i do very short game session and i have to wait do much to murder cases to show up, but i'm having so much fun 🥰 I learned a lot from your video, hope to watch some soon with new updates 💕 Fun fact: i witnessed a killer shooting their victim and handcuffed them immediately searching fingerprints, name and the murder weapon. Then i was shot down by a policeman and when i returned to the crime scene to analyze the body i found the famous paper with the puzzle name on it, but i had already find out the name!! 🤣

This may have been mentioned already but will post here anyway.. The connections tab is super helpful. Example - if you look up an address and check connections tab, you can see who you have connected to that address through your previous investigations. You can step through to the person living at that address, and then use their connections to see where they work, what other connections you might have from their place of work etc. So depending on how far you've researched on your play through, you can actually jump through a long string of connections. I believe (I could be wrong) that it will also note any custom connections you have may have made on previous cases allowing you to see repeat offenders or how they tie back to previous cases :) I found this especially helpful when I needed to find someone with a partner that was an HR Administrator - being able to look up the known friends in an address book, connect to their address, see their partner details and (hopefully) their job details made life a bit easier on one of my cases. I was a little late in getting to this series of yours, but I binged the heck out of it! I absolutely loved all your reactions and just the pure sense of joy you exuded the whole time. I'm soooo sad that the series has to end for now!! I look forward to the day the game updates so we can see more from you playing it! I'll be keeping an eye on this game myself and may give it a try later on because you made it look so awesome!

I would love it if the dev would add small ghost events or some kind of scare when you are deep in to some of these missions. With how focused the player gets, having a random spawn on a scare would be awesome and definitely catch a lot of people off guard.

Need more of this! I tried several other streamers and was sadly disappointed in them; you were the first one that had actually figured out how to play the game, which made it a whole lot more fun to watch than all the constant facepalming I had to do watching the other streamers.

Man, i started last week, the killer kills 1 person leaves only a heel print, and the ammo box. No Finger prints, I spent hours checking the victim and spouse work place and found no issues, later that same day the killer kills again next door. Same Evidence, so I explore the same for that murder. No connection, 4 different jobs, but then I went back to seen of the first crime to find the paper that had a scramble named. Decipher it to location to find one person lying, but then it was spouse who I got a matching name. It was crazy. My intro case had a spouse lie about the time of seeing people, but said my POI was with her in the very location, I mess up sneaking and got ambushed and had to resort to guerrilla tactics and take em in.

Thanks so much for all the videos in this series. I’ve watched them all, some of them twice. I bought the game thinking I would love it and found that I actually love watching you play more than I enjoy playing myself. So I would love to see a series on a hard difficulty.

There's actually been times when I've gone to bed and woke up the opposite way (head at the bottom, feet at the pillows) so I can somewhat relate to the citizens that go to sleep the wrong way haha

today i started a new save, a side by side with my husband. and in my world, i got within 3 mins walking out of the diner with a mission, i witnessed someone shoot someone, First time ever seeing it happen, I followed him into his home, knocked, knocked him out with the door, and got his info and name, the weapon hiden under a box. The single handedly fastest murder case ive done. LOL

It has been a blast watching this series. I hope to see more in the future -- harder difficulty, larger map, new updates. Thanks for sharing your adventure!

GG, thanks for the fun series. might be too late but 2 additional tips: 1- as far as i know, all city hall computers have the enforcer account even the lobby ones, in case you get a restricted side ward ,most receptions on the building are logged into the same account (enforcer acc is the one with the gov database, just log if you have the pw) 2- when on the item menu you can re-bind any tool or item slot hovering and pressing the desired number (helps a lot setting at least camera, handcuffs, door wedge and weapon like truncheon or grenades) extra- big vending machine, sync clinic staff sell random disk each day (but might be a limited set for each)

I think a big factor in things like the govt database as well as knowing everyone trivializing the later cases might have something to do with the fact that the city is quite small. Maybe the larger cities would end up being more balanced overall? Like searching names by initial would be more difficult cuz there's more people around so you can't narrow it down as much.

I started playing this game because of your series! Having a blast, I've already finished one game and I'm on sandbox now. My craziest case was a serial killer who killed 4 people before I managed to catch them still at the scene. And on another I picked up a small side case and only had fingerprints so was going to drop it but didn't have time because a murder case came in, turned out the person I was trying to arrest in the side case was also my killer in the new murder case!

Nice series, I'd like to see more of this. On the next big update you could try large city and extreme difficulty. Also some self imposed restrictions will force you to interact with some more obscure mechanics that are often overlooked. For challenging restrictions here are some suggestions: no stealing (except for sync upgrades otherwise you almost won't be able to upgrade your character), no fingerprint scanner, no OP upgrades (like the social upgrade), no arresting/knocking out except for a confirmed killer (this would force you to trespass only when there's nobody home, which means you'll have to look at work rotations. Or in some cases pay for a guest pass)

This has become my routine and been addicted, I might have to rewatch the series once again until the next save file! Gonna miss Insym Price lol

Hey Insym, I wanted to start by saying I loved watching this series. It was obvious how much fun you had and I look forward to watching you play more as more content is released. I did want to make a couple suggestions for something that might help you out in future runs: You can avoid detection a lot by turning off lights/your flashlight. If the circle in the middle of your screen is hollow, that means people (and cameras!) won't see you unless they get basically on top of you. I know you like immersion, but I still find it fairly immersive to turn off hallway lights in buildings while I lockpick the breaker box, for example. Also, with some lights, you can right click on them to "unscrew" the bulb, which means people walking by can't just turn them back on as they please (I find this mostly works with hallway wall lights and a couple of ceiling lights). My last suggestion is if you want to try to take advantage of being able to freely explore places more, you can pay to get into business (using the "health inspector" or "tour" options). I don't know if that would take away from the immersion for you, but it's a really convenient way to get information, and as long as you don't steal anything (or no one catches you stealing ;3) you can collect information from anywhere in that business for the two hours while the guest pass remains active. (for offices, sometimes only certain people will prompt the "tour" option, so I'll warn you in advance that it won't always be an option). Thanks again for this experience, and even if you decide not to try any of this advise, I still look forward to seeing what you will do from here.

The game isn't falling apart, Insym. All those cases you took, and then closed without resolving are failing. When you take a Theft case, if you close it, the envelope remains in the world, and when the envelope is destroyed by whatever means it gets destroyed, you fail the case. Theft cases have timers. Finish them before the envelope is destroyed. I can demonstrate this in a fresh file, if you'd like. No cases taken, just the initial murder, and a theft case.

This is my go to watch list when I'm having my breakfast. Sad that's its gonna be the last. I hope you upload more! Thank you again for the comforting SoD upload.

I dislike Summer. Where I live, it's always super humid and gross. Winter is good, for the exact reason you mentioned (easy to warm, hard to cool) but I like Autumn best, temp ranges between warm and cool, and it rains... a lot. Good season for sleeping. Edit: I love how in this game, you eat literally everything. Bleeding? Eat a bandage. Broke your leg? Here, gnaw on this splint. Ridiculous.

A couple weeks later, I've finished watching the series, and given in to the desire to buy this game because it just looked like so much fun. My very first non-tutorial case I get, I get the message about a brand new murder case in the middle of some street somewhere, so I grab the location so I can go there. As soon as I left the pin board screen a woman runs up to me with a knife to mug me, and I had to book it all the way to the murder scene... which ended up being a case of poisoning by syringe. In the middle of a back alley. It was the craziest first few moments, and made me SO glad I decided to buy the game.

So a good note for you, the filling cabinets can only hold a certain number of files. So when grabbing resident records (or large employment records) from files only, you are getting an incomplete record of the people in the apartment/business. That said, you CAN get the whole record from the computers. The best way I have found to search is by last name... you can easily do this by searching alphabetically with a starting space before the letter (for example: " a", " b", " c".... instead of "a", "b", "c"....)

Hope there is mods and updates for this game, absolutely owesome. Also you game play style and how you talk and explained everything is really great.

Adding organized criminal organizations would be absolutely game changing. That would send this above all other detective games by far in my book. I will say that sometimes it does feel like there are already organized criminal organizations in the game with how certain businesses experience more crime around them than a usual business, whether it be murders, thefts, or something else.
