It typically occurs at the nap hour, and if you are in an environment whereby the room conserves heat too well, then the best approach is to do a before nap time workout routine of your choice for an hour and also remember to keep the dry air out during the summer the best way you know how or winter time using the thermo control with the "fan" control setting on "auto" fan setting simultaneously and not "on". Dry fan air will dissipate at auto setting, and it's good for the lungs when you do your workout out in your room at night before bed. That's my conclusion and cure after 38+ years, too. It seems that at this age, it is the gold standard age experience I've noticed. Human evolution wasn't meant for energy saving high-tech rooms, which trap dry air in rather to the contrary outdoor experience. Who even gets cured off of restless leg syndrome on a couch rather than outdoors doing stuff and then napping in the forest somewhere. I am serious about this. It's a cure on my behalf in every season of the year and counting. My time for a workout is at the 12 mark to 1am. It is cold outside to open windows and dangerous too. unpredictable too if you live with your loved ones.

I've had restless legs for years. Initially started in my 30's with too much caffeine I think. Now it is a continual bother in my 70's. Taking pramipexole. But I want to get off it. Feels like RLS waiting to start even in the daytime. Can not imagine how meditation would help. Guess I'll try exercise before bedtime.

I’ve had it all my life. Someone suggested drinking a few gulps of pickle juice before bed. I tried it, works like magic. Slept all night with no discomfort or restlessness at all. Now I will always have a jar in my fridge. Always.

Nicely done Ma'am thank You. My dear departed Mother would rythe on the couch in the evenings, (mid 1960's) legs bent on the couch, rubbing a calf against the other knee. It wasn't a titled malady back then, nor were their meds. Looking back, She always appeared exhausted. She passed at 55 years old. Other conditions taken into account, of course. However, one can speculate, considering RLS consumed her sleep time, that it certainly affected Her overall health. My Aunt (Her Sister) suffers from it as do my cousins, and ME. I've been watching several 'tubes about the condition in hopes of gleaning something new. Thank You for noting the augmentation. The Requip (3 mg.) isn't quite doing it anymore, now the sensations are occurring in my forearms like my legs. I am interested to try the Gabapentin. I've tried alot of things, apparently in my case, medication is the only answer. But I'm so glad others have found relief in the things I didn't. Again, I appreciate Your well done presentation.

I get the restless legs when trying to quit smoking. Is that normal? It's the tightening sensations, that especially happen at bedtime. I actually have to get out of bed and walk around.

With restless legs there can be a component of anxiety which can occur with tobacco withdrawal, best to work with your physician for this concern.

Sucks, I know. I get 3, maybe 4 hours on a good night. I don't know what other health condition to have to trade for....it's F&c#in miserable. Had it for Years now, prevalent on my Mothers side. Been watching alot of tubes for the quest for some relief. Good luck, I'm with You.

Magnesium, magnesium and magnesium. I now take 600 mg at bedtime for sleep and prevention.A 200 mg capsule will stop symptoms within half an hour after onset. I use the glycinate form but any type will help. Safer than drugs.

I get anxiety when night comes cause my rls is very bad. I did everything I can … massaged my legs with ice gel, taken paracetamol, magnesium tablet n magnesium sprays. Exercise n put up Legs on wall n nothing works. Compression socks help a bit. Now castor oil rub. It also helps a bit. Rolling a ball on my back against d wall helps too. Hot showers. Tried a Lot of things but when it’s really bad, you just don’t wanna live anymore. It’s d worst thing I go through at night. 🤷‍♀️

@@pupsmotorworks5228 My blood levels of mg are in mid range after supplementing for about 15 years. Imagine how little must be absorbed.
