“Why do you want to be a man” should be the first question a therapist asks any gender-questioning patient. Thank you for sharing your experience and exposing the cult-like fervor of the medicalization machine.

Two questions that radical gender theorists can never answer are 1) If gender and sex are not the same, then why do they tell people to change their sex to affirm their gender? And 2) Where does a person’s gender identity come from? Is it genetic? Is it their spirit/soul? Is it a psychological product of their environment? Is it a combination of one or more of these things? Or is it just arbitrary whim? All of these have big problems for them to explain and so they just ignore the question.

The entire basis for that way of thinking is rooted the idea that any unfairness in life must be a result of an artificial barrier established by some nefarious entity and should be overcome by science.

Hey, I just wanted to say you are incredibly brave! God chose you and made you in his image. You are not a mistake! You are exactly who you need to be, and He wants you to love yourself for who/what you really are. You are so strong. We all have a cross to bear, we all have our own struggles and we're all a little broken inside in one way or another. I hope you heal the hurt that is on your soul. You matter!

Please find one who will help you work this out. Someone who really understands you and is NEUTRAL and UNBIASED. It’s YOUR journey and you deserve to be heard Until you have uncovered the root of your distress, and the damage it did, nothing will fall into place I would recommend a clinical psychologist or psychiatrist that specializes in trauma

THIS. This is the most honest account about this whole issue I have ever heard. The LGBTQ community have done a great disservice to young and confused people like this lady. If I had to deal with this issue, I would approach it like this: forget about being a man, being a woman or anything else. Treat it the way you would as if you were a third party looking at a test subject. Does the subject enjoy pineapple on pizza? What hobbies does the individual have? Does the subject enjoy gaming? What movies does the subject prefer? Does the subject like contact sports? Babies?Car racing? Pets? Does the subject prefer men, women, or both? How does the subject dress for social occasions? I would start getting to know myself in the most complete way possible and only then worry about how I want to present to the outside world. After knowing yourself a little better, then you can make determinations. Also, find another therapist who wants to talk about the things that you actually want to talk about.

You’re definitely not with the right therapist, real doctors the first rule is you don’t affirm delusions. No surgery can change your gender any more than if a 60 year old has plastic surgery and looks 40, they didn’t drop 20 years it’s just the appearance. Your therapist just wants to push an ideology, they don’t care about you. Think of it this way, you can dress and act however you want without needing to ever alter your body or destroy your health, too many of these psychiatrists and doctors just want to make you a lifelong patient. there’s nothing wrong with being a tomboy, you are perfect exactly as you are cause you’re you
