Hello everyone :) Apologies for the long absence. I wasn't doing too well, then I got help, now I'm doing muuuch better! So, priorities. The video I mention is: • Wil Wheaton on General... from Project UROK. If you're not feeling too happy about your anxiety, please watch it.
Now, for the pony. The base is (probaby) a MLP G1 Argie Parasol (cirrect me if I'm wrong) and the custom is inspired by "the pink Care Bear", or Love-a-Lot. Think of it as a subtle homage rather than a full transformation ;) Hope you enjoy this little video and thank you for your continuous support.

I think this video symbolizes something very important about getting back into something you haven't done in a while: ------ it doesn't have to be perfect. ------ if it makes you happy, if you enjoy creating it, it doesn't have to be perfect. it doesn't matter that the pony is a little yellow, or that there are a few spots, or that the hair is simple or the painting not quite to your liking. you made something that makes you happy and you can be proud of that.

To anyone who this is relevant for, as someone who also dealt with SEVERE generalized anxiety all of my life, I can tell you that getting medicine for it changed my life immensely. Absolutely look into it if you suspect your anxiety might not be normal. Don’t suffer silently, your quality of life will skyrocket, I promise you ❤

I know the cutie mark didn't turn out the way you wanted, and maybe if I were more familiar with the care bear it's based on, I might be able to see some of what you're not satisfied with? But just, on its own, to me, just looking at the cutie mark on its own merits, I think it looks great! Smooth lines, solid colors, cute design... from here, I personally can't see any problems at all. The pony looks adorable!

I am so happy for you getting treatment and steadily getting more comfortable with yourself despite the struggles of generalized anxiety disorder (I've got the same thing so I feel your pain there). it's tough creating art when you have constant fears and worries but every time I watch your videos it inspires me to keep working on my (many) projects! you are the person who singlehandedly inspired me to start up my collection of G1 ponies!❤ take all the time you need, we will always be here for you!

I was just thinking of you recently, I'm glad to see you uploading again! I'm also glad to hear that you've been working on focusing on yourself - anxiety can be a lot to deal with. The pony turned out so cute! I especially love the white nose, it really adds a little extra something and makes it extra darling. I’ve had generalized anxiety for what I’m pretty sure is my whole life- it’s hard, and the longer you go without help, the more difficult it can be. Therapy can also help because it can give you tools to challenge those thoughts. I missed your videos, but I’m more glad that you’re doing much better. While I don’t have synthesia, bubblegum pinks are my favorite pinks! Getting back into art, it’s better for you to do something low key and what you enjoy, rather than something that’s high pressure! Sometimes you gotta let an idea go

welcome back! seeing this video pop up was a treat! I started watching your videos last year while visiting my partner who was living in mexico at the time. We went to street markets and collected all the ponies we could find and spent much of our days restoring them using the knowledge you shared. One year later and now we live togheter in Canada, still restoring ponies and we now own a huge collection of them!!! The ponies kept us togheter during the long distance and you were a part of that. It must have taken courage to talk about this and to post this video and I am very happy you are back!

I also have generalized anxiety and depression and your videos help me. My daughter prefers my G1 ponies over today's ponies. Although my collection is well loved with lots of hair cuts and tangles compared to some of her G1 reissues. But My Little Ponies still bring us joy. Here is to your continue progress

So glad you’re ok! As a person who also struggles with anxiety (and an assortment of other problems), it’s definitely a journey to go through for finding coping mechanisms, learning how to tackle things that can spur anxiety attacks and etc. but it’s all well worth it! Discovered what helps me relax in any anxious scenarios and even funny enough have comfort characters that also help with easing stress. Though it’s always funny when thinking of and telling others of my said comfort characters, they’re a combo people least expect to hear😂

If you cannot make your own neurotransmitters, store bought is fine. You do not ever need to apologize for taking care of yourself. We are all just happy that you are making progress in your own mental health journey. As for Care Bears, I grew up with a Friendship Bear, the one with the two little smiling flowers on the tummy.

I also suffer from severe anxiety. My whole world changed once I got on medication. I know it's hard to talk about sometimes, but thank you for sharing your story. It's so important to be on a proper treatment for mental issues. And I think many people have problems without even realizing it. Like thinking it's normal to have such feelings that constantly bring you down. As for the pony, I thought she was so cute! I loved the Care Bears as a kid. I love the white on the nose. I wish more of the ponies had more "horsey" markings. Like white feet, white nose, or spots. But maybe the designers felt it would take away from the cutie mark. I look forward to your next video! : 3

You mentioned the classic 80s Care Bears as your happy place. I used to have nightmares and I’d be scared to close my eyes or go back to sleep, so I’d think about classic 80s My Little Ponies and that was sort of my happy place (and a big part of why I love your channel). P.S. as someone with autism and anxiety, many of my earliest memories are anxiety-related too.

I would have had it a little heart on the cheek of the pony to represent the nose of the Care Bear as well as maybe make the cutie mark sit by itself? Without the white border I mean. You also could have added a red streak to the hair to make it a little bit more dynamic looking and maybe give it white markings on the hooves to make it look like a Clydesdale so that the nose doesn't stick out so much. Just some ideas. As for you having general anxiety disorder; hey, same. It does get easier with time, training, support and medication. It's just hard to get the last one cuz a lot of the stuff that works for anxiety is also addictive. Happy to see you back though and I hope to see more videos from you in the future. Don't sweat about the small mistakes. If anything, the community is always here to give you suggestions for the next go-around which is something I always encourage artists to do: Revisit old projects a year or two later down the line to see how much you've improved since then.

Everyone has issues of some kind. Some are more noticeable than others. We are all unique. I appreciate you and the fact you talked about what you are going through. I love that you repair and customize ponies. I have started fixing my large G1 collection but overall I have not been able to find actual ones that need fixing. It seems everyone just throws them away. Very sad. I need to find a source.

Glad you're feeling better and can find satisfaction in creating again! Anxiety disorders are hard. I think a lot of people downplay them these days because the word is an anxiety-inducing place for everyone to some degree, but frequency and severity really matter and can really interfere with the things you love. Hopefully you'll keep being able to find a path that helps you do what you want to, regardless of videos or not. The pony's cute, though!

Mine had gotten to the point where I wasn't sure who I was anymore, and what was "normal" in terms of how I felt. I am so much calmer now, enjoying things, and not being rules by moods :P Glad you liked the pony!!

I’m so glad to hear your meds are helping you so much! I developed GAD when I was 13, started taking meds for it when I was 15, and the only regret I have is that I didn’t opt for medication sooner. Now it’s almost been 10 years and my GAD has not reared its ugly head for a long time!

Glad to see you back and feeling good! The pony turned out lovely even though your eye could spot things you weren't happy with I can assure you this viewer couldn't. Another name for a tool that can cut wires if you're struggling to find one is a 'sidecutter'. They are really handy and come in plenty of different sizes depending on the gauge of the wire you need to cut.

Congrats on finding a good treatment for your anxiety! It is a rough thing to deal with. Before I started medication, I somehow convinced myself it was normal to at least once a week cry for like, a solid 30 mins in the shower. Turns out I didn’t have to live like that, and there was a far better solution that just ignoring it. 😅 I’m glad that I started treatment, it has improved my life exponentially.

I have GAD too! I’ve been dealing with it for as long as I can remember. My stomach hurts whenever I have high anxiety, it’s one of my signs that I need to take a step back and breathe. I remember being little and saying that my tummy hurt; and that my mom explained that that can happen with anxiety. It started happening more and more the more I grew up, and eventually in 2018 at age 19 I was diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder.

glad to see you're back! i suffer from severe anxiety among other mental health stuff and sometimes i go months without making art (in my case, painting) or restoring my ponies - two things i love the most. it's such a sad feeling when you just... can't do something you love. glad you found a treatment that helps! also love the custom as usual

I am so happy that you're back and you are doing well. I love your channel and it is because of you I have restored my own ponies! I have found so much joy in the hobby and I am grateful. If it helps, I too have been on a mental health journey with my doctor and I have started taking medicine about 2 months ago. While it has helped and most days I feel better, it obviously does not get rid of all of my symptoms. It doesn't erase my condition it makes it so much more manageable and my quality of life has definitely improved. Thanks for sharing your story it helps many of us not feel alone. :)

Oh hey! I’m happy to see one of your videos on my feed again. Your editing style is very relaxing, it’s always a nice time watching your creative process. Glad this break has brought you happiness. My own anxiety gets in the way of my work sometimes as well, and when that happens it’s good to take the time to focus on yourself. To anyone else dealing with their own mental health in the comments, remember to put yourself first! Your art, your work, they’re valuable but definitely not as important as your health and happiness! If you need a break then take it. If you need help then seek it and accept it from others! If you worry about not meeting expectations/deadlines, lower the bar you set for yourself. It will all be okay

I honestly think the contrasting colors on the cutie mark help to break up the otherwise very monochromatic color scheme, so in my opinion they work well! So happy you are better, and to hear you and see your work again. Missed these videos and the peace it brings! Unfortunately life has it's ups, and sometimes really steep horrible downs that doesn't seem to want to end. Just truly happy you have a loving support structure and went for that visit and openness to research about it. Every step, even a shuffle or a healthy break is moving you in the right direction.
