Hey y'all! Having locs is a journey and something you make mistakes along the way. I most definitely have made some loc mistakes over the last 3 years. Here are some ways to prevent thinning locs. Some of these things you do without even know it can cause loc troubles later. Comment below if you have made some of these mistakes!

That was hilarious "we don't need to see your brain to know your style is nice." I like my retwist tight and an immediate style after retwisting b/c it last longer. But when I do it myself, it doesn't matter. I do feel like i need to retwist more often though cause my twist don't last long when I retwist myself. 2021 is the year to figure it out. Great video!!

Thanks ❤️! Yeah, 2021 is definitely the year to figure things out. I’m going to work on styles and laid edges. But overall, at the end of the day you got to do what best for you and you gorgeous locs.

Yay!!! Welcome to the loc gang love! I started with 2 strand twist as well so I bias both I think that’s the best way to start. I’m so excited for you journey. Remember to be patient with yourself and your locs ❤️❤️❤️

I think it depends on which locs a person has I have small braidlocs if I go too long without interlocking my roots my locs will become thin I can never go pass 6 to 8 weeks

You are absolutely correct. I have that same issue. My new growth grows away from the loc. So, I also experience thinning if I go to long between retwist.
