get yourself a leaf blower to dry your car. the Ego 765 is amazing for coated cars. takes 5 minutes to completely dry it, and never have to use a dry towel, which actually is the most abrasive part of washing a car.

@@ABAUTOAMG no worries. you’ll actually laugh the first time you blow the water off so easily. the Ego 765 is the brand new top dog, and might not be readily available. the Ego 650 (which I use) is close second, if that’s all you can find, especially if you can get it on sale. they’re both more than enough for a coated car.

hey try to dry the car with a leaf blower, thats what i do with ceramic, it gets dry in like 2 min and its touch less

I have a magno grey c43 coupe. I didn't know that you are able to do ceramic coating on that type of paint. Would that not damage the paint?

Do you prefer ceramic coating or PPF on your matte colour?

PPF will give you better protection since it can protect against scratches and stone chips but getting it done well is a lot more expensive than the coating. Depends on budget. You can also ceramic coat on top of ppf.

Hey, Sorry for the slow reply! Just catching up on my comments. I have a video here with some good tips to make the interior fresh kzfaq.info/get/bejne/aMyBesp13trFe6s.htmlsi=qz53-CgYJkOpNiev For glass I used autoglym fast glass. It also doubles up as the perfect spray to remove bird droppings on paintwork so I always keep it in my car.

Did you use the sealant to polish the car as well or just on the wheels

You must never polish matte/satin paint. If you polish it you can really ruin the paint. The sea ent can be used on the paint to give a bit of minor protection. Just spray it on a cloth and gently apply. Only use ones designed for matte paint. Any polish abrasives or waxes will ruin the matte finish so be carful. I hope this helps! :)

I get that the water sheets and beads off the car when ceramic coated or even just waxed but is there a suggestion that water somehow penetrates or damages clear coat and paint if not treated?

Water won’t do damage to a untreated car generally unless it’s hard water (eg from the tap) You should never leave tap water on your car if you live in a hard water area as it will leave horrible water spots.

@@ABAUTOAMG Thanks for the reply. I live in a soft water area so water spots are not an issue for me. I suppose the ceramic coating will prevent damage from bird poop and acid rain as well though.

Yep any ph neutral soap is ok for the wheels. Sorry about the link not working. The product I use is called “Chemical Guys Meticulous Matte Auto Wash Shampoo”

It’s debatable if the ceramic coating out of a spray bottle is any different, you still get the same protection. Looks good and defo works but in my opinion meguiars ceramic coat out the spray bottle is as good difference is you have to apply it after each wash. How much did you pay in total for that coating?

I used the spray bottles on my c43 and they are really good but a properly applied coating will always be better because they are cured for 12+ hours etc. I think the biggest benefit on this coating in my case is that all the good waxes, sealants and spray coatings are not compatible with Matte paint so without a coating you can’t really get good beading and sheeting. A ceramic coating like this would be around £700 so it is expensive but a lot of man hours goes into the prep so it’s well justified. The home sprays etc are getting better and better as technology moves forward though.

@@ABAUTOAMG £700 isn’t bad for that coating, I get what you mean about the Matt paint I think that’s why it works for you as mines is metallic I’ve had same results using the spray to be fair. Your daughter did a good job she’s cute.

wow Paul, who told you that BS lol. a proper ceramic coating bonds and cures right into the clear coat and can last 5+ years. a spray on might last a week out in the elements

@@stealthhtm23 I said if you use the spray on each wash the beading results are the same, I use it and get the same beading, if I was AB auto with it being a Matt finish I’d have it done but on a metallic I won’t bother the spray works the same.

@@Happytruth it definitely does not work the same. there’s way more protection with a true ceramic coating. it’s literally an extra clear coat. also, matte & metallic paint both have a clear coat. one is gloss, and the other matte. ceramic coating bonds to both the same way. yes, a spray on beads water, but definitely not the same protection.
