Funny how things get together in the end. I have been a Megadeth fan since Holy Wars. Then I discovered Angra years later, and I loved it. Now I am married to a Brazilian woman and am giving guitar “lessons” (I’m not a real teacher) to a friend who’s a Megadeth addict and helped him choose his first real guitar playing ... Holy Wars !

"My Megadeth" is in two parts. Part 1. was "Killing is my Business and Business is Good" over 30 yrs ago as a kid. The songs on that album and "Peace Sells but Who's Buying" were just great heavy rock songs. The melodies, the energy were unique. I became a fan. Part 2. of "My Megadeth" is happening as we speak. After years of kinda losing track of most metal bands I enjoyed as a kid. Kiko popped on my radar on KZfaq. His tour vlogs with Megadeth have become a favorite of mine in the last few weeks. The chemistry and musicianship of Megadeth with their current lineup is the strongest ever. Especially Live. It's a rebirth. That comes from having all 4 members (and a great road crew) being on the same page and putting their passion into the performances. It's been a pleasure hearing Kiko and Dave here talking and bless both your hearts. I wish years of continued success for you. As you know, stay good to each other and business will be good.

The whole "My Megadeth" thing Chris brought up helped Megadeth big time. Dystopia is the best album they have created in the last 20 years and I cannot wait for the new one. Kiko and Dirk are a *KILLER* combo.

Eu me lembro da primeira vez que vi o Kiko pessoalmente: eu era um jovem padawan, uns 14 anos de idade talvez, e estava guitarra na escola do Caires em SP (quem é de São Paulo e está envolvido com música ou educação talvez conheça o cara) e uns amigos e eu ganhamos ingressos para a expo music. No dia que escolhemos usar os ingressos o Kiko faria um workshop no estande da Tagima ou da nig. Depois de ver o Kiko tocar, uma multidão cercou o cara para pedir autógrafos e nós não queríamos incomodar, então ficamos no canto conversando sobre o espetáculo que havíamos acabado de assistir quando, do nada eu sinto uma mão no meu ombro e alguém dizendo "com licença", quando eu viro para trás dou de cara com o Kiko Loureiro. Ele para na minha frente, a literalmente 2 passos de mim, estende as mãos na minha frente e diz: quem quiser um autógrafo faz uma fila a partir daqui. Por uns 2 segundos eu não sabia o que fazer, depois começou aquela correria para tirar um caderno da mochila antes que a chance sumisse de vez. Eu tenho o autógrafo até hoje, K. Loureiro escrito de canetão azul nunca folha de caderno.

The current Megadeth lineup is PHENOMENAL!!! I have been a massive Megadeth fan since So Far So Good So What album came out back when I was just 9 years old. I love everything that Megadeth has done but Dystopia in my opinion is the greatest Megadeth album since Rust In Peace. The Dystopia album has made me a much bigger Megadeth fan than ever before. I listened to it every day for at least six months. You are a huge reason why the Dystopia album is so amazing. I have known about Angra for at least twenty years, but I never gave them a listen until the day it was announced that Andre Matos passed away. Two months later I have become a huge Angra fan. I love every album especially Angel's Cry, Fireworks, Rebirth, Rebirth Tour Live In Sao Paulo, Temple Of Shadows, and Angel's Cry 20th Anniversary Tour. I wish that I gave Angra a chance a long time ago. I now understand better than before why Dave Mustaine really wanted you in the Megadeth band. Not only are you an amazing guitar player and songwriter, but you are an AMAZING person. You have a huge heart Kiko and don't ever change for anyone. Rest In peace Andre Matos
