I have many tattoos but my favorite one is a tattoo across my chest that says “Kill your darlings” from Allen Ginsberg. It symbolizes sometimes having to leave what you think you love most out of your art in order to let it grow I compromised.

Im 43 now, but my 1st tattoo was inked when i was 14. It is my Dads tombstone. He suffered from schizophrenia. He decided that 38 years was enough. I was 9. Jesus held my hand but i was still pissed till i was 22 and choose to live as a Christian. Its right above my heart

I got "Morior" on my right forearm and "Invictus" on the left one so that it read "Morior Invictus" when I open my arms. It reminds me to never let people or things put me down and always keep fighting for myself and what I stand for. Also, why "nocere"? Did kiling the architect hurt you or does it mean something else? I totally agree with you. I also feel that if tattooed something on your body that meant something at its time and the story of it should remain there. I recently tattooed myself something that means my growing up. I don't think I 'll ever regret it cuz it's made by my hands and every imperfection of it remainds me that I m not perfect and that is ok. The "exist" tattoo looks pretty cool, the idea behind it is really inspiring

On the left of my chest I have the heartless symbol from the video game Kingdom Hearts and it's a reminder of the amount of pure happiness I felt when growing up with those games, especially through my depression and anxiety it helps as a good memento of what real happiness feels like. On the Right side of my chest I have a portrait of No Face from Spirited Away and it's coupled with the signature of my best friend. She is a very special person to me and so I wanted to have something of her I can keep forever by having her "sign" her favourite character ever which is No Face.

I have 7 I use them to solidify important life moments for me, seperations, loses, basically anything real. My favorite is the Awen on the side of my left leg at the calf muscle. Its a simple symbol that holds complex meaning, something i really appreciate.

Well I went to NYC for my recent birthday I think now I want to go-to the UK and get a tattoo with you for my next birthday. That would be the best birthday gift yet I mean NYC was great but to meet you would be an honor

My favorite tattoo is a Captain America Shield with a Punisher skull and smoking eyes. A tribute to three characters I dig: Captain America, the Punisher, and Stone Cold Steve Austin.

I have my right arm almost completely covered. Just need a few little things done to complete it. It’s all tattoos of things that I love and keep close to my heart. I have a wrestling mask on my bicep because I’m a huge wrestling fan. I have the German crest on my forearm because I’m half German. And I have a cross with angel wings in remembrance of my father who passed away amongst others.

Wait...you're obsessed with tattoos? I would have never guessed! xD But in all seriousness, I really like your tattos as a whole. None of them seem to fall out of line. Even though they all are different I love how they come together as one big picture. Interesting how you describe why you got so many tattoos. Would you say it's also somehow like marking your boundaries? Like where you end and the rest of the world begins? Strange question, I know haha Anyways...I didn't get a tattoo so far and I guess that is also what's keeping me from it so far. Like the big barrier of getting "the first one". Had several ideas already though, one of them being a reminder to myself like the one you got in this video. It'd be on my wrists though. "Not yet..." on the left wrist and "...Part of Eternity" on the right. A reminder to my heart and/or my sensuous part, that it's not yet my time to just let go, float and become one with all again. For my set time I'm living this human life right now and I need to stay in control. At the same time a reminder to my mind/reason in control, that I am connected to everything around me and I can't just turn this part of me off. As a brain-driven person I tend to forget about just existing/living with all my senses and enjoying life. As I tend to swing from one extreme into the other I more often than not just dissociate and then struggle a lot to get back into my body again. (Thus the boundaries question haha) Getting the tattoo on my wrists should remind me of both parts whenever I reach out to do anything. Wow...I did go way more into detail than planned now ^^' anyways...another great video! Really like how much you let us be part of your journey right now. Keep it up!

I dont have any tatoos yet (19 yo) but I want to get one and the one i want to get the devils hand which was the logo for the hellions. I also wanted to complete this with the good hand from the saints deck (Joker). I want it really badly and saving money for it and getting my body a little bit more in shape. You said you have also a Hellion tattoo and you once explained why and maybe this isnt the reason for me to put this on my body, regardless it is a conncetion to the man who inspires me (daniel madison the human)

I have two favorite tattoos on me. First is two Felix the cat head, one on each side of my chest representing my son. Who is named Felix. Second favorite is brass knuckles with the numbers 1204 in each finger hole, my graduating class from the correction officer academy. Love what you are doing. Much love and stay strong.

I really like how your tattoos are all seperate, no overall theme and just a collection of memories, that's what tattoos should be and how mine are, I'm glad that my tattoos are all weird mishmashed images that to anybody else looks like a mess.

Great video, the one tattoo that means the most is the Triquetra (charmed symbol) on my inner wrist. Original when I split with my ex wife it symbolised myself and my two boys the power of 3 nothing would ever come between us, but the meaning changed for me. I met my current wife and we had a son so for me the meaning changed it now symbolised my 3 boys and reminds me every day the love I have for them now and always.

I've got 2 tattoos so far, one has a very deep meaning for me which is a skull with a rose emerging from the top. It's to symbolise that despite everything i've been through, all the abuse and hate i've put up with i felt dead inside but i turned my life around and blossomed like the rose. My favourite one though, is a cartoon style pennywise from the recent IT movie. I've always loved clowns and this i felt was the perfect clown to get permanently inked in my skin.

I love your feather tat. I am hoping to get a Koi swimming down my arm in a similar style. What is your story behind the feather?

I only have one tattoo so it's also my mist meaningful tattoo. It's a large pocket watch on my left forearm with the chain going up all the way to my shoulder, kind of like your rosary beads. I got it because my family heirloom is a pocket watch that my great grandfather carried through WW1 and also because it reminds of death. Marcus aurilius said in meditations that " you may leave this life at any moment: have this in possibility in your mind in all that you do say do it say or think"

The attitude in these past videos is a breath of fresh air, D! The greatest gift we can give ourselves is to be the best version of ourselves we can be. I can tell already that that positivity is flowing through you and it'll start to touch those around you and positively influence them. It's a good place to exist 🤙🏻

Daniel, I totally feel the same way about "regret" tattoos. I look at is part of my personal history. For example, I have my high school girlfriends initials. I would never cover that up. It's a reminder of that part of my life. I have an anarchy tattoo that my best friend that passed away gave me when we were like 12. That's another I will never cover up.

I have two Tattoos.My first one is my favorite,the second one is a quote that i like and the third one i will get in 3 weeks. The first one is my view on Card Magic, im doing it right now for nearly 4 Years and so i decided last year to get my favorite Card, the 4 of spades, as a tattoo. It shows the Card, coming out of the shadow, burning slowly and vanishing again in the smoke.

As you had said in one of your AMA videos in the past that music is a very personal thing...whenever I ask people You their favorite artist is, I'm looking for a specific answer. I'm not looking for that artist that you picked up from your parents or some other person influenced you to listen to it. A favorite band I discovered on my own when I was 17 was a band called Coheed and Cambria which is my favorite band, so much so that I got a full shoulder tattoo inspired by the band and I had an opportunity to meet the lead singer and his wife at Wonder-Con and I was able to perform some magic for them and I had him sign my arm. After meeting him I called up my tattoo artist and had him tattoo the autograph on my arm. It is one of my favorite tattoos I have because it has a fun adventure to go along with it.

A bit like shin Lim I like the idea of tattoos of different cards which can provide a story as well as impromptu effects. I love your stuff I am a firm believer that the pyschology of magic and deception is more interesting than fooling someone. I'm not particularly bothered if somebody figures out a magic trick but if they realise that the skill is still impressive then I believe that's just as important

I want to go and get my first tattoo next month, been thinking about it for a while but want to start. Gonna get my birth date and a xx (98-XX) on my wrist to just remind me that you never know when life may end so make every moment count and appreciate the beauty of life in it self as much as possible! Like life really means a lot to me personally and everybody gets so caught up in the daily rush of life that they forget to live, so want this to ground myself and remind myself how wonderful life is. Then also a cartoonish piece of wood on my sholder because for some reason I use the saying touch wood A LOT and my friends always call me out on it. So gonna get a tattoo of it. :-D

I have an ancient Thor’s hammer on my arm that was found on distant family land in Denmark in 1870 something and gifted to the family. It came to me Christmas 2 years ago. And I went to Denmark and had it put on my arm on my 30th!

I have always been the black sheep- an outcast looking in from the outside. There's 52 cards in a deck. It's 52 because the Jokers aren't there. The Jokers are at times excluded from card games and magicians take them out of the deck if the Jokers don't match. I will be getting a tattoo of "Joker" on my finger..

I also have VITA MORS on my knuckles like your self, always get asked, "did you copy dan Madison?" I had mine done may years ago before I even came across yourself, and think its really awesome that someone with the same interests in magic and deceptive arts had the same tattoos! I couldn't believe it when I saw we had the same tats hahah, I think I shows how some people think alike!! any way. one of my fav tattoos is the word ABRAXAS (actually done by Peter turner ha) we all know its meaning. also the latin word for manipulator I have on my arm. since I was a kid crow was my favorite thing.... don't know why but I always wanted to make a crow my pet. I think you should make a tattoo of a crow in your body. One of my best friends took her own life and just before doing so posted a photo with the words smile beautiful written on her hand. To remember her and remind all those that see it i got smile beautiful in medium cursive lettering on my left wrist
