It's time to share with you my small collection of semi-rare video games for the Atari 2600, Atari 5200, and Atari 7800. Now I'm not a rare game hunter by any means, but these are the games that I own that happen to be "somewhat" valuable.

As a fellow collector (although not of video games), I always measure how valuable something is by its sentimentality. Some of my most prized items were given to me by a special friend or have a unique story to them. It seems like you feel the same way and that's awesome! I enjoyed hearing your stories and it's cool you just happened to have these games because you genuinely liked and wanted them and just happened to hang on to them! I definitely respect that! Great vid!

Yeah I never said, “I need to acquire this rare game” and sought it out. These just fell in my lap because I wanted them!

Blue Print is quite meta, as it's a Rare game, originally created BY Rare :D (well, the company who renamed themselves rare)

Great video! I have some of those. It's been getting crazy on some of those 7800 game prices. Will need to get a flash cart soon to play the rarer ones for the 7800. I saw Midnight Mutants a few years back sealed for $50 at a retro gaming store in Orlando. Kinda wish I picked that up now. As far as price wise that I'm aware of, my most valuable Atari game is Ricky and Vicky on the 7800 which is a home brew. I heard it sold for around $1000 recently. I do wish the developer would make more copies for purchase for the 7800 so more people could enjoy it on the system, but you can get it for steam so there's one way to play it that is reasonable.

@@GregsGameRoom yea. I don't know if it would run with sound on a flash cart if there is a ROM floating around for it, since it had a different kind of sound chip than a Pokey chip.

Some of these later releases use special chips that keeps them from working in flash carts. Probably not even the Cuttle Cart 2!

Great video! It’s fun to see your collection. If you add it all up it’s a decent haul if you were to sell. But that’s not the point right!

I think my only rare 2600 game is Bumper Bash. No box just cart and manual but it's a decent pinball game. As for the 7800 I'd probably say rampage, also just loose.

@@GregsGameRoom I generally don't care about rarity or value. I've sold most of them off because I didn't enjoy playing them. I try to keep my collection small and reserved for games I enjoy playing and almost all of those are fairly common

Hard to hear this but… SELL. The bubble is about to burst. Some of these are super common like you said. 200 bucks for Ikari Warriors? I’d sell that so fast your head would spin. Get these out now while you still can. Take a picture and keep it. Use the money to fund the channel. Just another life long collectors option. Thanks for the content!
