This is for my A1 License - It's a Full 125 License essentially. The A2 license consists of the same modules, but you are required to ride a larger motorcycle.

Hey Evo, I'm considering doing my A1 as my CBT runs out later this year however I'm not too sure whether I can do it on a test center bike? My RS isn't ideal for the mod1 so I was thinking of borrowing theirs if that is possible. Also do you plan on doing many more live streams in the near future?
@EvolutionMotovlogs8 жыл бұрын
+Ross RS Hey Ross! How's it goin'? I've only taken the Modules on my OWN motorbike because they don't supply them. I guess you would need to do the test with a test centre or borrow one of their bikes (I can rent them from my local CBT Test center). I haven't been focused on my Gaming channel lately, I do love a good live stream though! :)

How long had you been riding/how many miles had you covered before your test? I've got mine coming up in June and I'm wondering how much training I'll need. So far I've only clocked about 800 miles.
@KrystekkCF8 жыл бұрын
+6Twisted I know you have asked EvolutionMotovlogs but I have been riding for about 8 Months on the L plates on provisional licence and have covered 3,000 miles, those miles are about 70% town miles just commuting to Work, School and shops. If you got a good bike to do your test on id take your own one because it is a lot cheaper it cost me £15.50 for Mod 1 and I have passed with 0 faults and my mod 2 cost me £75 and passed with 2 minor faults 1 was from a question about the tyre that i could not understand what he wanted me to answer and the 2nd fault was following distance I might have been too close to another car to the examiner point of view. When you are on the test keep a good distance, watch the road signs and markings, keep away from the door zone of parked cars watch your speed always do life savers when turning, switching lanes or moving away from traffic lights. Hopefully this helps to compare if you are ready to do your test.
@6Twisted8 жыл бұрын
KrystekkCF Thanks. The DAS programs I've been looking at are £400 to £600 for 3-5 days training/tests including bike rental. Is that then a waste of money?
@KrystekkCF8 жыл бұрын
6Twisted I was only talking about A1 test being a rip off when you borrow a bike from a riding school because you can easily use your own motorcycle for the test. As for the DAS i don't know it is up to the rider if they do not feel confident in riding a bigger machine then it is a good idea to have that training program. As for me I am really confident in my riding i always observe do life savers, check mirrors, use correct signals and for me i think i am going to buy my own machine insure it and use it for my test.
@6Twisted8 жыл бұрын
KrystekkCF After riding for six months on a 125, I'm fairly confident in my road ability's but I'm sure there will be bad habits that need sorting for the test. I think the hardest thing for me will just be learning to control a bigger bike as my bike is only 10bhp/130kg. Oh and reading road signs, but that's what I get for only riding around places I know.
@KrystekkCF8 жыл бұрын
6Twisted Yes if you think you have bad habits i would buy a some lessons so that the instructor will point them out for me and also if these lessons are on a 600 then even better. When i did my A1 i thought i also had bad habits but it turns out that the instructor that i had he did not give me any faults for my riding only 2 silly ones because i did not understand his question lol

Hi How much training did you do before taking the test and how much did it cost? I got my CBT 1 year ago I'm 18 and i want to upgrade to full A1 license.
@EvolutionMotovlogs8 жыл бұрын
Mod 1 is £15, Mod 2 is £75 and the theory test is relatively cheap. If you are confident then go for it! But of course if you've got the money I would always recommend to take as much additional training - money well spent!
@PhilMGCollins6 жыл бұрын
EvolutionMotovlogs So am I correct in thinking that if I want to take my A2 test, it's around £100 for both module 1 and 2??

Did you ever had lessons? I really wanna get l plates off mine and I've done 6000 miles in 7 months (I commute 50 miles a day) but when I went to my local school they said it would £300 without the theory. Do you reckon the knowledge from the CBT would be good enough and the fact that I've done sooo many miles?
@EvolutionMotovlogs8 жыл бұрын
Whether you'll pass without any training is a tricky question to answer, everyone is different. However, with basic riding knowledge and plenty of experience it is very 'do-able'. My brother passed without a test centre shortly after his CBT. I have passed my Mod 1 and yet to re-take my Mod 2 as I failed first time. If you are confident on the motorbike you currently ride, prepare yourself and do some research as to what is involved for the A1 Mdoule 1 and 2 and go for it! It's only about £15 to take the Mod 1 so what have you got to loose?

Hey dude just a question. I'll be 16 in a short while and planning to get a 50cc and since you had a rs50 I want to ask you something about that bike. I am 6 ft 1/2 (188cm). And would a rs50 fit me or should I go with another bike?
@EvolutionMotovlogs8 жыл бұрын
+Sober Hey dude, the seat height is 810mm. The best thing to do is see how high that comes up on you or even better - sit on one if you have access to one. Alternatively, you could get a Supermoto which generally have higher seat heights.

hey man unlucky on the test best of luck on your next test but watching this makes me kind of worried as you seem like a good rider, I turn 19 on june and was planning to do CBT and try do A2 a month after and I dont have any riding experience any advice you can give? I also plan on getting a yzf125 and keep it after A2 as well so I was wondering if i can try rent a bike for this test or do i have to own it.
@BKPCgaming8 жыл бұрын
+s0mething 411 (lomgao-22) you wont be able to do the a2 without any motorbike experience. you must have had two years experience to complete your a2 at 19.
@12345678344248 жыл бұрын
+bailey cicero ahhh shit i thought you could jump on A2 as soon as you turn 19 ;( might get a yzf125 after cbt and wait till im 24 then
@BKPCgaming8 жыл бұрын
+s0mething 411 (lomgao-22) they are good bikes, I had one but then got a wr125x. check though I could be wrong. riding is amazing none the less
@EvolutionMotovlogs8 жыл бұрын
+s0mething 411 (lomgao-22) Thanks for the support! I'd recommend taking the CBT course and getting some experience on the road on a 125. Whether that's for 1 month or 1 Year, however long it takes you to feel ready for the A2. The principle is the same, you just need to learn how to control a bigger motorcycle. My advice is to be confident and book your CBT ASAP :D! When you take your A2 do it with a test centre, they supply the bike, insurance and so forth.
@EvolutionMotovlogs8 жыл бұрын
+bailey cicero That's incorrect. You either need to own a CBT or A1 license in order to take the A2 License. There is no requirement as to how long you need to have owned the license.

All the basics you will need to know/do for being a road user. It's a quite basic test and there aren't any advance manoeuvres. It's important you demonstrate safe riding skills. Loads of information online, I'd recommend giving it a google search :).

Aww shame you didn't get the pass this time but at least you know what you failed on and can resolve that for next time :) I failed my first Mod 2 as well (DAS). I failed mine for not going to the speed limits on some roads (Making progression) but that was my own fault for missing the sign saying what speed the road was haha. I also apparently was in the wrong lane to turn at one point - but I don't even remember that at all so must of not realised if I did.
@KrystekkCF8 жыл бұрын
+Bex88 was this A1 licence? because when I did my Mod 2 for A1 licence I was taken around town with a max speed of 30mph. I have not been taken on roads exceeding 30mph.

Before you can take your A2 you will need the following - CBT certificate and Motorcycle Theory. Then you are eligible for the A2 which consists of two tests - Module 1 and Module 2. Once you pass both modules you will receive the A2 license.
