I love the "war time tip"! my grandmother used to tell me women would tint their legs with tea or coffee and trace a crayon line behind her calves during WW2 to prentend they were wearing tights. I love how human being would be so inventive to keep their dignity during the worst times.

I haven’t watched a makeup tutorial for months - and after this, suddenly remembered why I started watching them in the first place: not for the products but for the skill. I can’t think of another makeup artist who does more with less. A sheer joy to watch: from the application of foundation with fingers to setting your face with cornflour, the deftness of Lisa’s movements, the subtlety of the application. The lack of pretension and fanfare... ahhhh. Such a relief from the grey dreariness of our semi-existence during COVID lockdowns (in Australia in winter).

People seem to always say not to put blush on the front of cheeks but in the summer I only put just the tiniest bit of a pink or a red there then a dab on the nose - just like when I get some sun. Her living room is amazing !! I love it! And the cat lying down behind on the chair! So cute. And of course, her makeup is gorgeous just as usual! I can’t believe I discovered who she was and her amazing lipsticks just a couple of months ago. Her work is so amazing (how many times did I use this word already? 😂 )

I love these at home videos. They seem less formal than the white back ground videos when we weren’t all stuck at home. You seem happier and the videos feel more personal. The makeup is obviously great no matter where you film but these vids are wonderful!

I've loved you for years now, but I fell head-over-heels in love with you when you busted out the corn starch! I've done that myself many times (and as a pretty effective dry shampoo) and to see such a simple and oh-so-relatable gesture warmed my heart! I'm in NY so things are getting much better here than the rest of the country. You've brightened my day with your lovely voice and spirit. Stay safe and have a wonderful time with your friends!

When you used that cornflour... I remember how we used to melt clear hard candy on damp hands and use it to hold a hairdo, about 25 yrs ago... Because it's cheaper and safer than aerosol. We do it a handful of times when we have primary school activities where we need to do makeup and hair... Love your videos as always...

Divine Lisa! Loved this look. I'm from Melbourne, Australia, and things are going okay. A couple of my surrounding suburbs have gone back into lockdown, which has been another reminder of the patience required through this pandemic! On the plus side, the past few months have been fantastic for me to focus on skincare! Hope you are doing well on your side of the planet. x
