Friend, your hair might not have been as long as it is now...but by most people’s standards, your hair has always been long (from looking at your pictures on this video). Ain’t nothin wrong with that. You didn’t have to start like anyone else (those youtubers who had short hair first) . Just know, you have a wealth of knowledge and I love your videos.

Nope just you black people consider that length as long because most of you can't even grow hair to that length, other races can easily grow hair to their waist

Youre childhood story reminds me so much of myself. I usually kept to myself. When I was a child I would hate it when strange women would pull at my hair telling me how thick it was and I was afraid to say anything even though they were being rough with my scalp. Thank you for your story.

Had to subscribe after this! Our stories are kinda similar actually- I’ve always been natural even though I had no idea what that meant at the time lol. I didn’t straighten my hair often though and I loved to cut my hair (big chop) at least once a year hahaha! And I also started my healthy hair journey back in 2018!

I totally understood what you meant by having shorter hair in the beginning. Having shoulder length hair does not equate long hair. Alot of people do not understand this. My daughter's hair started exactly like yours. Her hair is now butt length. She's been told that she's mixed and her hair started out long. she was actually being bullied. The majority of it comes from other black women. Her hair was even cut by another student in class. As a result, she does not like to wear her hair down because of the comments and bullying. However, I showed her your video and she couldn't stop smiling. Thank you for sharing your journey.

Did using peppermint essential oil directly to your scalp help to grow your hair?
@milami.
@milami. 4 жыл бұрын
I feel like it did but I can't say for sure. If it did it wasn't significant enough for me to say that alone grew my hair. I do feel like it does a great job a stimulating my scalp which is supposed to promote growth.

Baby girl, back in the day your hair would have been considered 'Long' once you reached your 'Preteens'. I watched an earlier video and thought the same thing as that other 'Commenter' because you said you don't use 'Oils' or anything in your hair. You can't get the length you have now without using 'something' unless you're just 'blessed' with hair that grows long by design. And that's okay.

So when are you going to cut the damage off? The quicker you cut it off. The faster your hair grows. Healthy hair is good hair. “If you don’t cut them ends off they will cut themselves “ you don’t hold damage all it does is interfere with other strings of hair. Your hair is long & beautiful growing at a fast pace cut it off it’ll grow even faster and look beautiful and healthy don’t ruin your hair over no 1 or 2 inches you too beautiful and educated for that. Spent too much time on your hair for wasted time.
@milami.

I like to cut it gradually. I cut my own hair and I don't want it look crazy. Cutting it slowly hasn't caused too many problems for me so far. Thanks for watching!

Loss of curl elasticity due to heat does not affect the rate hair grows from your scalp. Also, it doesn't necessarily mean the hair is damaged (breaking/split ends)
