Karen, I can’t tell you how much we appreciate you! I’m going to do this routine and see the results. So far, today was my first time following it and I noticed a difference. Only steps I missed prior were not finger detangling, shampooing twice and combing the conditioner before it sets. You have a new subscriber 😘

Oh wow look at your hair length, looks so soft. Thanks for sharing, very helpful indeed. My hair is slow growing and shrinkage is a real issue. My hair is about shoulder length if I hold the twists down 😊

Slow growing hair?? My speciality! What'cha doing to increase growth or do you know why it grows slow, if its has recently slowed down? Will have to do a video on shrinkage soon...

Hi Beautiful. New subbie here by the way lol. When do you use your steamer (how often) vs hooded dryer and can you use either to deep condition?

Hey! I enjoyed every minute of this video I've recently found this channel, I really do appreciate all the info I've learned so far and that your videos are very concise and comprehensive. A quick question, is it really necessary to shampoo twice?
@KarenofCurlHouse Жыл бұрын
Hello there! It really depends on how much product is in your hair. If you are product heavy (gels, creams, heavy oils, etc) then absolutely yes. Otherwise one shampoo is fine but I’d suggest you water rinse for a few minutes first with warm water to break up buildup. And welcome to the Curl House Community! 🤗

Thanks for video. After you rinse out conditioner apply all the products. Do you re-braid your hair. Tie up your hair. Right now I am on a tight budget. Which one will you recommend for itch scalp. Thanks
@KarenofCurlHouse Жыл бұрын
Hello there! You are very welcome! After I rinse out, I style my hair, so that would be a wash no go, twists, or flat twists. Lately I've been wearing it flat twists. If you are dealing with a itchy scalp, I recommend our #1 selling product -- the follicle stimulating growth drops. They are water-based so they hydrate the scalp, balance the sebum production, reduce inflammation of the scalp, etc. All of these things contribute to itchy scalp. Are they help with hair growth so that's a win win! Here's the link --> curlhouse.com/products/follicle-stimulating-growth-drops

Your hair is gorgeous. I have depression (but I am doing better). Depression zaps energy--sometimes I can barely shampoo my hair and put rollers in it. I often go to sleep with the rollers in my wet hair (don't feel like getting under dryer). Question: what damage will be done to hair when let it air dry (with rollers in). Thank you!
@KarenofCurlHouse Жыл бұрын
Hello there! Keep hanging in there! So glad you are doing better! 🙌🏾 Air drying the hair is fine. Now the rollers can cause tension on the scalp which could lead to hair loss. I would not get in a habit of sleeping with rollers (I’m assuming it’s hard rollers) if you can help it: I know it’s not easy for you at times.

Hi Ms. Karen! What is your opinion regarding "shampoo bars", especially for persons with tight curls and coils?
@KarenofCurlHouse Жыл бұрын
Hi Ms. Antoinette! I used to use a shampoo bar -- well I 'tried' one actually. It was cool but my hair was very long and thick and it was more difficult for me to navigate the bar on my head! LOL! Whether its a bar or bottle doesn't matter as much, it more important to consider the ingredients. If you are interested in the bar I can make a suggestion.
@antoinettemc4830 Жыл бұрын

Yes! Wash out the deep conditioner and followup with a leave in conditioner.

Thanks for sharing!! I have a question though… You washed the hair - then rinsed - then you deep conditioned Sssoo…. Does that mean we skip the rinse out conditioner?? Or did I blink or something?? I’ve been binge watching all of your most recent videos lol 😝 Thanks in advance Oh …. Ps .. I’m so glad u didn’t get in the shower I get so sick of these young girls in the shower// we don’t need to see all of that to get the point Geez 🙄
@KarenofCurlHouse Жыл бұрын
Hello there! I think you blinked! LOL! I washed in twice, applied the conditioner and at sat under the hooded dryer with that conditioner in, then washed it out. Oh no -- no shower scenes for me! Lol! I'd rather have water running all down for my face to shoot the video than to stand in the shower. LOL!

Is pre poo necessary? If so, what should be used?
@KarenofCurlHouse Жыл бұрын
Hi Syri! A pre-poo is NOT necessary -- but it does help with strengthening and hair and minimizing protein loss. I really like Coconut oil as a prepoo, or Babassu oil is good too.
