My dad and I built my very first 1984 mustang coupe when I was growing up. It was my pride and joy , he passed away 10 years ago when I was 18 . I then sold the car and regret it every day . Congrats on the dad son build bro. Treasure these moments my dude . Much love from sunny SoCal !

Man foxbodys have always been my favorite bodystyle Mustang. Built a few with my dad growing up in southern Louisiana. Im super excited for you man and can't wait to see you build this thing.

I use to have a ‘90 fox I can tell you your gonna love it there’s so much you can do and they are so easy to work on, miss mine but times where tuff.

Congrats! An 82 GT was the first fox body I ever drove. I didn't buy it, but I got a new 87 5.0 LX a few years later. I still have it. Daily driven 306k miles over 24 years. I'll be looking forward to seeing you bring it back!

Man this is a huge stepping stone for you, your father, and the channel! The Foxbody Mustang would look good in red to me, and as for the name, "Comeback!" Has a lot of history and meaning behind it, and y'all are bringing it back to keep it moving forward. Congrats man, I cannot wait for the upcoming videos!

I saw this car when it was brand new. I had my dad at a dealer and it was their first '82 5.0 on the lot. Their slogan at the time was "the boss is back" 2bbl 302, 4speed SROD trans (junk) 160hp basically. I believe the sticker was like $12,000 or so. Couldn't do it but managed to find its cousin a Capri RS a little while later also with the 5.0, same power train etc. You'll want to throw away that transmission. Its complete junk. Not sure what your goal is for the car but I can tell you that is a weak link. the rest of the power train is pretty solid. I believe its the small rear though so if real HP is going in there, you'll probably need to put in an 8.8. Good luck man, it'll be cool to see it

First year GT! First year 5.0 HO. The Boss is Back! Original steering wheel, original HO dual snorkel air cleaner, Recaro seats, originalTRX mags included. So awesome. Looks like dealer installed a/c with those odd size non matching vents.

My dad has a 1988 GT, after 20 years of daily driving it has well over 300,000 miles and is the reason I have a mustang as it reminds me of riding with him as a kid. Your fox hits close to home for sure!

I LOVE the 82GTs.. I named it one of my top 5 foxes in a recent video. Those seats actually look like 79 pace car ones with the netted headrests. Solid car hope you got a deal on it since it needs some TLC. Can’t wait to see what you do with it but hope you don’t take away from its originality. Remember it’s a 4spd stick stock too

Derek that car has a ton of potential, it is an 82 and that was the first year Ford used the GT since 1970. The add that Ford used was “ The Boss is Back”. That car is very similar to the 1979 Pacecar. I test drive to different GT’s from 1982 and that car has a soft spot I’m my heart, good luck with it and look forward to the journey with you guys.

This is like my third comment, but I can't help it man. It has been one helluva ride. I started from the vinyl on the roof episode of Blu, watched the ups and downs of not just your builds but your personal journey as well. I have since roped my pops and my son into watching your channel, we love Mustangs. Also the fact that you live 45 minutes from us in VA is dope as hell. VA Doesnt get alot of love these days. Don't stop, keep grinding. ✌
