So neat to see other beginners getting excited for keyboards! My favorite part is sustainability and some people even have cherry keyboard from the 80s and say the get even better with time..

I'd like to see you spec the ortholinear board with silent switches like cherry pinks (silent reds). because you can program with qmk, you can program function keys all the way to 24 and have 12 additional macro keys for productivity, and all kinds of crazy personalized shortcut keystrokes. Look into it! Ortho is great for gaming too!

I saw the first build video you had. Was such a breath of fresh air because many new to the hobby at some point have issues with something in their build. Nice to see you with a proper custom now as well, the keyboard turned out great! Also, check out nothisisjohn and watch some of his typing videos. Shit you not, i have been meaning to get/build myself a mech. keyboard for a mac for soooo long. I started watching all the mech keyboard pro's and over a year ago now...i saw your video a month or 2 in when i was into the mech keyboard world and now I am again in the mood of working on my keyboard again...like 3 days ago..and your video today popped us just as I was researching about all the components to build myself one... that's insane...also...love your videos :D

Before watching this I am hoping they are cherry brown or red switches... Sara I love you gurl. The insert of the pokemon song... the multiple camera views.. Damn this video was made with such love! I felt excited for you. I have been using a Corsair k70 lux with cherry brown switches for like almost 5 years now. It's so much fun to have a real mechanical keyboard. Those who don't use one can't understand how amazing it is.

cherry brown/reds are considered beginner level switches for the masses. Once you go beyond cherry, you won't go back. Sara's Holy pandas are part of the holy grail type switches in the mech keyboard world.

Just built a custom mechanical keyboard! Luckily I had experience with soldering cables, and soldering on usb c pads is 10x harder than soldering a keyboard imo. My budget was $350 though, so not quite on par with yours haha.

It looks really cool, but thing that has called my attention is that the numeric pad is not attached to to the actual keyboard. I am left handed and when I can I like to use left handed keyboard, so this one looks like perfect for me....expensive though. I can't afford it, not for now anyway!
