My NEW *ALBINO* Bichir

Күн бұрынSo I moved my florida gar back outside into my exotic pond the day before filming this and I wanted to get another fish for my Jack Dempsey's tank. Well someone traded in an albino bichir at the fish store that I work at and I thought it would be a really cool fish to have in the tank. So I went ahead and got the bichir and he's doing great in the tank.

Dude at 8 mins and 30 seconds in that jack looked at that new fish like can I eat you?? Lol that jack is beautiful and he wanted cam time too dad. Man for real I love your tanks and your fish bro. You take such awesome care of them. Fish keeping isnt easy. You deff have a full boat. Keep up the awesome work bro. I cant wait to see the stock pond with more fish. The gar seems happier in the pond.

Awesome fish. I have one currently in a 20 gallon but were planning putting him in a 55 gallon so yeah. Good luck my friend hopefully he lives a long happy life!

Mine albino bichir is literally 2 inches. He ate bloodworms the first hour in the tank. I love him. Nice fish. You should add some driftwood and plants and make it more natural. I always try to make my tanks more natural . All mine have plants and driftwood. Plenty of 0laces to hide makes fish feel more secure . Nice fish brother. Best of luck.

They can regenerate whole fins if lost. Even the fleshy bit!

You should get a pictus catfish for the pond,not a little one but a big one Plus like the other guy said you should get a jaguar cichlid

Pictus cats don't get very big and I'm gonna put some type of big exotic catfish but I think I am gonna get a jaguar cichlid

What's you recommend tank size for one. I have a 40 long with a regular pleco a red tail shark a pictis catfish an 2 angle fish. From what I've heard they need 30 gallons. Do you think I will have enough room for one😅

I have 2 jaguar cichlids I wouldn't put them with smaller fish even with my two I wouldn't put them with any fish mine kill for fun but if u like that so

Tips: don't use gravel use sand or nothing or the fish can eat the gravel

Is 25 gallons good for 1 bichir?

No, way too small. Minimum is 55 for a small one like this. The one seen here grows to almost a foot and It’s one of the smaller types of bichir. If it’s a baby then you could probably keep it in the 25 for a bit but you’re gonna have to change it eventually
