There's a vending machine at my work that a company put in. And I can't believe how much money my coworkers spend everyday on drinks and snacks from this machine. I'm a really cheap person, there's a grocery store a 3 minute walk from my work, a large normal bag of chips is the same price there as a mini one in the vending machine. So I can't get myself to buy from the vending machine. It really shows me how people don't always think how you think. I rarely buy things from vending machines but many people do.

i think it will depend on the ratio of purchases that are too expired to be eaten. some people wont care, but some will bash the whole thing and spread rumors or claim sickness. consider the liability of this system.

I own a few vending machines as a side job , if you buying product that's almost expired you might be wasting alot of money and creating higher liability, personally I would sale at the higher price , gives you more time to sale and less wast & better profit margin

Food does not have expiration dates in the US. They have best buy dates. There is no law that says food beyond the best buy date cannot be sold. There is only one food item that has expiration dates in the US, baby formula.

The Laundromat I use, Looks like a Dump but is Almost Half the Price to do Laundry as the "Clean" One... But their Brand New Vending Machine that does Candy and Soda, Never Seems to Work.. And If someone wants Snacks or a Drink, the Grocery Store is about 50 yrds away... The "Clean Place" I am not sure because I have only been there a few times because they cost too much to do laundry there.. Double and then Still Not Dry after a Hour in their machines.... and Now for the P.O.S Scam Bot/Asshole to post a reply so I can report them... EDIT: and 2hours 4 minutes they did.... EDIT: And Did Again a Day later and 1.5 Minutes ago...

Reeses near expiration is no go for me. Dry and terrible. Those pretzel ones are notoriously chalky.

Are you sure you did the math on this?? You are profiting supposedly about 40 cents per item sold? At best. To profit $1,000 a month, you would have to sell 2500 candy bars! And that's not including your initial investment into the machine, and also the cost of electricity. I don't think you will sell 2500 candy bars!
