2016 5.7 Charger owner here, the 5.7 engine is more around 410-420HP. The advertised 370hp is really what it puts down to the wheels according to the in car horsepower meter. Remember, all HEMIs really make more power than Dodge says they do.

These cars put down 330-335 whp on a real dyno so that’s about 390 hp at crank assuming 15% drivetrain loss. Despite this, these cars feel extremely slow to be making near 400 hp. I mean 0-60 in over 5 seconds is crazy for a 400 hp car. I’m not talking crap cause I owned a rt for 5 years but my f87 m2 feels wildly faster to be making similar power. Of course the m2 is like 1k pounds lighter also

Thanks for the shout out brother! Those EV's are not what Dodge is making them out to be. They are no faster, possibly slower, than the same Hemi variant. Numbers don't lie, they do have way more horsepower but, like I said and have a video coming, are no faster than the current Hemi's.

About time the 5.7 gets love. Everybody and they momma got a 392 or Hellcat. You should look into some kind of awd setup to help with getting the power down. Especially if you want to do no prep.

I respectfully disagree. There has been full built 5.7’s and they still struggle with stock 6.4’s it’s so important to get every little thing correct if not it’s a lot of work for nothing.

No lie when I paid of my ram I thought I really want to get a scat pack widebody challenger . Now, I'm like do I get an RT and modify it ? Then I will own the ram with the 5.7 and the RT with the 5.7. I started off with the 3.6 challenger and I was happy with that so I would be really happy with a modified 5.7 . I'm not a racer at all. I would want it for short highway bursts, the sound and the look.

Man, I like these cars but I would be far to paranoid about it getting stolen! I just took a Dodge Challenger RT rental back today but i tell you i was looking outside everytime I heard a V8 crank up to make sure idiots weren't trying to steal it! I can't imagine being an owner! Crazy part it is, i don't even live in a bad neighborhood lol!

That is a beautiful car no doubt, but when you mentioned Capitol Raceway and you and Stangmode are having a event there, instantly I got sick knowing I won't be able to make it and I just purchased a Hellcat some months ago, but the hurt part is when I was a little kid I used to walk to that track, I lived about a 1/4 mile from the track, now I live in Florida, this track has so much deep history in racing this track is a legend just do the history and see what I'm talking about, I just wish I knew about this sooner 😓😥😭

Slap a ported 3 liter whipple on that or hellion twin turbos they but out massive power or a big single, Copart has bunch of 5.7s and you can't go over 600 HP on stock motor

When people start to realize that the 5.7 is second best motor in mopars camp dollar per horse! Prices will go up! On top of there being no more hemi engines being made.

If ya'll don't mind rolling around in the OLD Charger and OLD Challenger...OK. But Dodge has showed you what THE NEW looks like. There will be no LEASE deals on the OLD. You'll have a choice to make: finance the OLD models for the next 5- 8 years or go for the NEW. The NEW Sixpack won't be out for at least a year, so you'll have to settle for the OLD while those who buy a NEW Charger EV or Banshee come to the car meets and steal your glory. Either way: the v8 is dead. Gas prices are rising. The future is lame turbo 6 engines. I prefer EV.
