It's just a matter of personal preference. In fact, I have driven a VF8 Plus for about one month and I love it. The EV has been great so far after over 600 miles (about 1,000Km). It has met all my goals including its driving range on a single charge, safety features and my budget. With a 65% battery from 80% down to 15%, my VF8 Plus model on a single charge can travel about 170 miles (roughly 275Km) at the speed of 70 miles/hours during the normal weather condition in California. It took about 43 minutes to charge the EV from 10% to 80% and 56 minutes to charge from 14% to 90% (after 80% it takes a little longer time to charge possibly because of saturation) at a super charging 360 kWh station. Packed with many high-tech features including HUD (Head-Up Display), 360 camera, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), heated and cooled seats, blind spot warning, voice activation, the VF8 Plus is one of the best cars I have ever had since my last hybrid. Probably, Vinfast ADAS is the feature I love most. When on freeway if you want to use Vinfast ADAS, just hit the little ADAS button to your right, on the steering wheel once the VF8 reaches the speed you want, for example 65 miles/hour, and the ADAS sign in green and blue color with the desired speed will show up on HUD (Head-Up Display), and the EV will take over the drive. All you do now is just sit relax enjoy behind the steering wheel and touch the wheel when asked. If you want to adjust the ADAS speed, just hit the up (+) or down (-) button right above and below the RES (Resume) button. The EV will automatically follow the same speed or stop as the car in front of you, does. If there's no car in front of you, the EV will speed up by itself to reach the speed you have set while keeping the EV between the lanes. Remember whenever you step on the brake, ADAS will no longer work, and notice that the ADAS sign on HUD will become gray. Just hit the RES (Resume) button on the steering wheel to resume ADAS, and the ADAS sign on HUD will be again in green and blue color. As far as I know, Vinfast is the one and only EV maker that represents the Southeast Asian region to join CES 2024 in Las Vegas last January.

I wish Vinfast luck, hopefully they do better in Thailand and they did in America. I know you're pushing their product but I strongly disagree about the Chinese electric vehicles. The Chinese electric vehicles are far superior to anything that they're putting out and at a better price point. I understand you're a shill for the Vietnamese company during this video but facts are facts. I'll still look forward to some of your future real videos, keep up the good work.

If you open up a Vinfast car and open up a car from a Chinese company such as BYD and compare the components, you will see the difference. Vinfast's components are mainly supplied from leading manufacturers in the field of auto parts from the US, Germany, Japan, and Korea. like ZF, Bosch... Only experienced people can judge whether a car is good or bad, but most ordinary consumers judge mainly through emotions. For an ordinary person, a car made in Vietnam is never better or equal to a car made in Germany. But for knowledgeable people, they are never influenced by things other than the things assembled on this car.
@ExpressPC.
@ExpressPC. Ай бұрын
In terms of consumers, I think you're right, Chinese cars are always beautiful in terms of interior and design with no limits including copying. However, VF is more about pragmatism, the quality of components must be licensed by Europe and America, they want to make a good product instead of overproducing to the point of excess and saturation like China is doing. I don't criticize Chinese products, because they have more domestic market than any other country

Glad to see more EV's in Thailand. We commute 3.5 hours one way weekly to Bangkok from Central Chanthaburi in our MG4 EV. It has 200HP, huge long range 60KWH battery, 360 degree camera sensors Apple car play seems to have all the bells and whistles of a Tesla minus the self driving but there is a lot of AI attached to the lane assist and cruise control modes. We switched over from a Fortuner and its insane how cheap the electricity costs per mile. Round trip to Bangkok used to be a little over one full tank of fuel. Now we get to Bangkok with 30% left in our battery and the cost to charge back to 100% is about 160 BHT. We plug in at home in each town so never stop at a fuel or charge station unless we want to drop off and come back home in that case its a 20 minute charge at a fast charger mid point. 200 HP electric car is the perfect size horse power in my opinion. The turbo diesel general vehicles on the highway can not keep up with us if we want to go fast. Also you get instant full torque when you move the accelerator peddle either from a dead start or any speed. If you decide to make a pass you push the peddle down and your gone. Oh the MG4 has rear wheel drive and motor in front under the hood battery under the floor and sport mode.

For someone who lives and works in the city and drives 20 to 40 miles a day its perfect. Drive all week and charge once over the weekend. For rural drivers who routinely put 50 plus ➕ miles a day or more its more aggravation than its worth. I'm much more impressed with hydrogen vehicles. As the tech improves on them it will most likley be the way to go.

With all the new train lines going in you almost don't need a car except for vacation road trips.

I'm old School 73 years old I love combustion I love the noise can't get enough of that I love gas and diesel can't get enough of that. I know electric is the future can't stop it, but I need noise can't get away from it, so I'll always have one. My daily driver is a 1997 Dodge Ram Lariat with a 360 with aggressive flow exhaust love the sound of that engine. Nothing big in it just plain Jane stock. Every gas or diesel engine has its own distinctive noise My next favorite is a small block Chevy. Just saying. Love CB Media Look forward to it. (GOTTA HAVE GAS)

Question sir what is the best time of year to visit Thailand for car show's? Tia
@onalonan
@onalonan Ай бұрын
It's up to which car shows you want to go my friend, in Thailand there are countless of annual car show events, and also a lot of car communitys too and you have to follow them communities if you want to go one. Also This events is one of a large annual event just like a Motor show, not like the race car show event like Souped Up event.

Unless you are from another country on the equator, don't go to Thailand in March, April, or May. It's fooking hot. Probably at a level you aren't ready for. I know lots of places get hot. But it hits different in Thailand. November to February is probably the nicest weather. It's also the busiest tourist times.

@@herranton you are right my friend it's very hot at those time but do not forget that 13 April is a Thailand new year "Songkran" day and Songkran is the most famous day ever for the Thai people and also for the tourists to come to play the most famous water festival in the world.😂😂😂
@herranton
@herranton Ай бұрын
@@onalonan Absolutely! Songkran is amazing. But I wouldn't make it your first trip. Thai weather is like Thai food. You gotta build up a tolerance to take the heat, haha.
