Real Supermarkets (at least where I come from) are sorted after a regular person's day apparently. Fresh fruits and vegetables at the front, then bread, eggs, cheese, cereals, coffee. In the middle are the canned goods, pasta, frozen items. Towards the end come the cleaning products, hygienic items and sweets. Drinks are often a separate area at the other end of the store from where the usual entrance is.

Set your prices slightly higher than market value for better profit. I find 20-30¢ more and no complaints.

Drae, consider putting multiple products of the smaller items on a single stand. Items like butter fit 24 to a single shelf and yogurt fits 30. A couple shelves for these items is all you need, rather than dedicating a full fridge for each of these smaller products. As you get more licenses you will find it difficult to keep up with adding more shelves.

You have a problem Drae. You'll need to redo your shelves so one product is on 2 shelves. It gets chaotic once you unlock more. Probably best to have one rack set with big box items to avoid stocking up constantly.

Drae keeps forgetting that when the price of a product changes, he has to set the price for the produnct on every shelf they're on and not on just one shelf.

There are mods for this game now! I just recently discovered some good ones! There is one you can speed up your cashiers. Auto load your order to the racks. And some other neat ones!

This is my favorite series it makes me happy

you can put different products on the same shelf, you can put honey, bread, coffee, tea, sugar, etc. all in the same shelf, you don't need to fill the same shelf with the same products

I've found the two cashiers to be somewhat broken. I had the same issue where everyone would be lined up at the whichever one I put down first while the second one was practically empty. I think a definite improvement there is needed and same with if there is no one at the cashier they should know to go to the one thats manned!

I do grocery management for a living and would like to share a little advice (if these are implemented in the game): The markup for the cost of an item is typically 20%, unless it is a common commodity item that everyone wants. High commodity items do not turn a great profit margin, which is around $1.50 to $2.00 per sale. The 80/20 rule of shelf stock is that only 20% of your shelf stock is what people come to buy. The other 80% are just filler items (but include the items that have a lower cost/higher profit margin). Stores have “loss leader” items to draw customers into the store. For example, stores lose money when they run advertisements for soda and multipack water. It is a loss taken to increase the customer count, while in turn the store will not run higher discounted sales on other items in the store to increase profits. Cashiers always belong at the front of the store. It is more convenient for the customer and it also prevents theft. Partition the store to have a dry goods section separated by "theme" (paper section, bread section, canned goods section, etc.), a refrigerated section, a produce section, and a frozen section. It's easier to navigate, stock, and is more convenient for the customer. Small refrigeration cases (called bunkers or mobile merchandisers) are meant for loss leader products, novelty purchases (like ice cream), or advertisement items. They are not made to hold the bulk of shelf stock. They draw the customer into compulsive buys and keep them adding items to their basket to increase sales. Try putting one near your refrigerated case section and frozen case section and filling them with ad items or compulsive buy items. The checkout line at the close of the day is inevitable. Every closing manager hates it, but it is just the way of grocery life. Try closing 10 minutes early to clear the customers out on time. Happy retailing!

this game is pretty much just restocking the storeroom after the first few levels, kinda tedious to figure out what you need and stock it when you start to get big. allot of potential, but right now mid/late game sucks
