Full Japanese house tour of my new apartment in Tokyo Japan. Welcome to a complete home tour of my apartment in Japan. I take you inside of our Japanese home and show where we plan on raising our new baby boy. This new Japanese apartment is completely different than our old Tokyo apartment in Shibuya. It's has lot more space than before since we are preparing for baby on the way. Life in Tokyo with a new baby on the way will definitely change, but we welcome this new life in Japan. I know this Japanese apartment isn't very large compared to Western home standards, but I think it's a good place to start our new family. A Japanese 2LDK apartment in Tokyo is probably the average Japanese home size for a Japanese family of 1-2 kids. melzer 13 That’s what they are getting at in the original post. That’s the literal joke. People who watch j-vlogs on the regular know that ovens aren’t the norm in most Asian countries. Hence the reference to other people who don’t watch j-vlogs not seeing a built-in oven as unusual. Hope that helped.

Love the setup! You’ve both taken care of your areas very beautifully. I’d be interested in seeing more on your appliances. Japan does smaller appliances best and I’d like to see more of the inside and what works and what doesn’t (e.g. The washer and drier all in one - how well does it dry? does it vent outdoors?). I own my own 1920s home but the living space is relatively small- 880 sq ft - and I wish we had more and better choices for appliances that used the space more effectively than what is available in NA. I am surprised that more Murphy bed setups aren’t used over there and you may want to consider adding high cabinets for storage as your ceilings seem quite high. I don’t know if you are allowed to anchor them into the concrete but - if not - those Swedes usually have some interesting stuff ... (IKEA). Take care and stay safe. You have a really great flat! It’s suuuuper rare to see the open concept of the kitchen, dining, and living flowing into each other. Usually I’m okay having the kitchen separate (odour control). But hearing your thoughts about watching over your baby, it did make sense. Thank you for allowing us into your personal space 🧡

I love your apt. It looks so neat and modern. So Marie Kondo-ish! Have you ever thought where you will put all the baby stuffs though? Not just crib, but I’m sure you’ll have stroller, sterilizer, baby swing, baby walker, playmat, playard and so on 🤪. It’s not easy to keep out the clutter. When I first moved to my current apt, mine also did not have any clutter. It only lasted about 3 months though 😅. Can’t wait to see how your apt evolves over time once the baby is here. Please do share!! All the best for the new chapter of life!
