The road kitchen does look cool I have been using the firebox nano titanium with 2 cups 1 of them titanium and I also have a Optimus canister burner and a Trangia alcohol burner that works good for me every nests into each other the toucan is amazing and sleeps comfortably too video coming soon

So I made a video but never edited it i filmed it right after this one it was me hosing the toucan down full pressure getting the canvas completely soaked and it never leaked and water inside in az it doesn't rain much so can't say anything about real world situations and it dried in like an hour but it was 100°f here and it's super dry.

I use the smaller version and swapped out the foam sleeping bag with a inflatable mattress, I kept the sleeping bag portion though because it’s surprisingly warm for how thin it is but ultimately used a camping blanket. Doing all that reduces the weight (by a fraction) and overall bulkyness (by 1-2.5” in diameter, depending how tight you roll it up. I roll mine once then reroll it a few times, to get it as compact as possible). The size of the whole thing is the biggest issue with their tents, they take up a lot of space! So if you don’t have a sissybar with a luggage rack you’re not able to go 2up riding and if you have a sissybar but no saddle bags you’ve then got a tent but no gear, again I’m using the smaller single person version too. I have saddle bags and a trunk bag but had to get a taller sissybar so I could carry the tent plus all other necessary camping gear and riding gear. The size of the tent is super cumbersome in real life use (imho) and ultimately if I could do it over I don’t think I would because while it’s a great tent and great craftsmanship it’s not as motocamping friendly as it’s portrayed to be, and it ain’t cheap either. I also reached out to them about ideas I had to improve their design, they responded but weren’t interested in my ideas. My other idea that improves their design is to add backpack straps so you could haul it around easily, since you can set it up without using your bike. it’s so bulky trying to tote it around to a nicer spot and becomes a chore (think like a cooler at the beach without wheels) and then you have to go back and get whatever other gear you brought with you. Another thing that would improve their design is to make it where you can set up the awning up to your bike but still close off that side of the tent on a colder and or rainy night. (The way they have it is either closed or open no in between. Another improvement is to add two short tent poles to prop up the other side flap for a second awning so you can let air in but still have shade on a hot day. As far as the rain part goes I only had one rain ride/ camping with the tent and it was fine (dry inside no leaks) but it didn’t dry out enough before I had to pack up and it got musty and that dead wet leaf smell to it by the time I got home so I had to clean and air it out, which took forever. So final thoughts from me are its got room for improvement and it’s more of a hipster motorcycle camping tent than it is a practical and useful motorcycle tent. I’ll still be using mine but don’t really recommend it for motorcycle camping, mainly due to it being so bulky and taking up so much space. If you only go on short motocamping trips and only ride solo it might still be a worth it, if you got the extra cash to spend on it. If that doesn’t describe you and your plans for it then I’d look elsewhere. I hate to point out all of its flaws and shortcomings but it’s the truth and I like to help others make a more informed decision when I can. I only say this because I’m not trying to bash on the product, because it really is a great tent but it’s just not a great motocamping tent in practice, for above mentioned reasons. @@freezezero0221 Thank you! Really has my hope was to swap out the mattress and duvet to really reduce the size so it’s good to know that it doesn’t make much of a difference. Canvas is so nice when in cold weather I think it’s gonna be that little bit too bulky real shame

@@nemesis5619 My pole ends were bent as well. Sent them an email and they said that after I put it back in shape, it won't happen again. I was just concerned that every time I roll up the tent and have my full body weight on the roll, I will bend the poles every time. Wingman said not to worry about that! Just got mine while I was on a trip already, it arrived 3 days late, and only put it up once for a quick test to check everything out. Can't wait for the next trip and try it all out. The mattress was super comfy and I almost fell asleep after lying there for 20mins. Haven't sprayed it down yet either, that will happen on the next trip.

Nemesis561 na dhl lost mine for a month and a half so i was kinda over the wait. missed my vacation road trip with it. had to camp in the crappy nylon. did finaly get the ends bent just enough to not break but def doesnt go together easy. worried about van city's comments. i might take them out while rolling it up to not bend them
