For the background: Not a TV, a projector. Then just add physical texture. And throw some footage on it. Slowmo or acrobatic drone stuff would be unique and you have it already.

BTW, one thing I've done with mine that's soooo baller is including my ATEM switcher, all the lights, all the cameras, monitors...etc. All powered through smart outlets. So I walk in and say, Hey Google, turn on my studio and it all comes on. It's insane. It's equally awesome saying Hey Google, turn off my studio.

When remodeling an old house the order of work is to start with redoing the roof, followed by window replacements. redo all the plumbing, redo all the electrical, redo the entire ventilation/heating/AC system, upgrade exterior wall thermal insulation and sound suppression before ending with dry walling.

sorry to hear about the leak. the trouble is real! got my house and thought it would just need the wallpaper stripped and a little skimming here and there... in the end the plaster had to go, then the electrics and finally the pipes... so I basically ended up back to brick and had to rebuild everything 🤦‍♂️

Love this! I have to constantly setup and pack away my filming setup for pieces to camera because my quietest room for filming is also a family room, so I'd love a quicker solution. i had been thinking of a pole on an office chair wheel base, but I wonder if I could get something like this to work instead... cheers!

Looks similar to the mobile stand setup that Caleb Pike (DSLR Video Shooter) came up with 2 years ago. I have this same setup but on a stand with wheels based on Caleb's idea. I prefer that to the stripper pole. Cool setup though. I like that you were able to fit it in a closet.

Yesss, Potato Jet will be back for good! I really like compact settings, and a filmable closet puts it to another level :) I have built my one DIY-Pole with a 60l oil barel and a metal pipe in a concrete foundation. The rest is filled up with soil and even a few plants so my wife accepts it as decoration :) This massive weight also supports heavy boom pole w/o counterweight on just 14"-diameter with fitting connectors and superclamps. Too bad gear tree accesoires is for 43mm-poles, thats too large for me :(

You definitely have to put some cameras in the background. Maybe a 3 shelf bookcase with classic cameras, workhorses and action cams. Just saying. Oh yeah don’t forget the orange led lighting to enhance it all. Welcome to home ownership and all the good ole repairs that come with it. 👍🏾

The closet wall is white, if you don't have a plan to put sound treatment on the closet wall, I'd just bounce the 300Dmk2 off that huge white wall. The Light Dome 2 is great, but always takes up all that space. That's just my thought. You got this.
