Click here: www.ritual.com/LORRY20 off your first month of Ritual. Thanks to Ritual for partnering on this video.
This video is about the time I suffered Nose Necrosis to my Nose tip. In this video I'll tell you what I wish I would've done to treat it FASTER than it was treated. I will give you all the information about nose necrosis that you'll need to help yourself or someone prevent it or heal it if it comes to that.
I will also talk about the role filler plays in vascular occlusion and I will caution you about it. Vascular occlusion and later necrosis is not RARE and is a real possibility with filler to your nose, nasolabial folds, glabella, lips and face.

This is a positive thing - I wouldn't have thought Lorry would take offence to this. I think Lorry partly makes these videos to highlight the realities rather than as a promotion of cosmetic surgery. It's about highlighting the pros, cons, limitations and possible benefits to help the audience make their own mind up while being informed. Personally, I don't classify myself as for or against cosmetic surgery. I’m indifferent and base my perspective on the individual surgery or procedure. Natural beauty is to be celebrated.

Most people would just take the money and let it go. It's best in the long run. I don't know if you have ever been through a trial, but some things is best to just let go (if the injustice committed against you is not that big and also if there has been at least some form of compensation and the consequences are not life-altering).

@@tabby25hope no it’s not the best! Because that means the Dr. will do this to someone else, faster results don’t always mean better. I think this has happened before with that Dr that’s why he was so careless. That’s why he started treatment without telling her what the treatment was for. The Docs knows his patients are vain and will agree to anything As long as they can look better than before or after damage occurs.

RN 👩🏻‍⚕️here. That discoloration at your tip should have been reported to the surgeon STAT! Any nursing student would notice that! Honestly, I blame the nurse. We have to document everything about the area, including coloration, drainage etc. From the pics it did not look like a bruise, nor should you have had bruising to the tip of your nose 👃🏼from the procedure you had. I would ask for the nurses notes, just to see what she documented. This could be an opportunity for her to be educated further, if not held accountable; so this isn't missed on future patients. Edit: I wrote my comment b4 u got to the- seeing the surgeon post op part. They are to blame as well. I'm so glad everything worked out for you. You look great 😊

Yes, the actual cause can happen (but shouldn't because surgeons should know where the largest arteries in the face are) but the after-care was just atrocious! They are the cause for her losing her nose- it could have been diagnosed and treated MUCH sooner. She pulled up pictures of the Asian woman and you can see that her doctors actually picked up on it BEFORE the nose was black and was being treated. It's outrageous!

I remember when I got my BBL surgery I was getting massages which is the aftercare and the massage therapist mentioned that I should go to hospital and just get checked out. Nothing was really wrong but she had mentioned it and I was trying to stay on top of my care so I went to a hospital. I wish I didnt go to the hospital because nothing was wrong and I ended up incurring a $10k bill. Regardless I remember when I went in the hospital I mentioned I had plastic surgery and the hospital didn't even know what to do with me. The hospital knew nothing about plastic surgery. I had to explain to them what it was. I felt real awkward being in a hospital explaining procedures to them. But I definitely got the impression that hospitals are not equipped for plastic surgery treatments. I also had an issue with finding either a hospital or another doctor to worked on me. I couldn't see my doctor because they were 4 hours away. So it doesn't surprise me in her story that the hospitals didn't want to treat her.

That is the most incoherent comment that doesn't explain anything. 1st u say your message therapist told u to go to hospital for nothing, so you just checked into the hospital for "nothing", and then they did NOTHING...but ended up with $10k bill!?? Thanks that was very informative...

@@madi4481you need to learn reading comprehension. The person commenting said that they had a BBL and was getting massages after as part of therapy. Evidently the massage therapist saw or felt something that could POTENTIALLY be the beginning is a serious problem. Therefore the therapist recommended medical check at the hospital. Luckily, whatever the massage therapist was concerned about turned out NOT to be anything serious. The commenter was just stating their frustration at ending up with a $10k hospital bill despite not having a serious problem after all. I’m sure the hospital did tests and scans (CT, MRI, ultrasound, etc) to rule out problems. Any test like that is VERY expensive! I had a bad fall from my horse about 6 months ago. Had to go to the ER. Had a chest x-ray and a CT scan with contrast to determine that I fractured 2 vertebrae and 2 ribs. Didn’t have to have any other treatment besides that (except 2 injections of a prescription NSAID and my bill is HUGE! But I’d rather pay $10k and not have a complication from a surgical procedure than to skip the hospital and end up with complications which would have cost the commenter 3 or 4x the amount of $ to correct, or even have been fatal to the commenter. I’d prefer to lose $10k to ensure I kept my life

I think what frightens me the most about what you revealed is that many patients are not going to publicly share when they experience improper treatment or negative side effects out of fear of Cease & Desist letters and lawsuits from a much more wealthy plastic surgeon. I hadn't really considered that plastic surgeons are actively censoring discussion and representation of negative outcomes. So the result is that all the publicity we see about any particular surgeon is slanted and censored and only what they want you to see about the outcomes they've achieved...

Even a superb surgeon isn’t going to have perfect results every time. It’s just the nature of surgery. That’s why you should only go in for these procedures if the problem area is bothering you so much that it’s genuinely worth the risk to you (with an informed understanding of the worst that could happen). I think it’s also good to keep some perspective: she indicates that she hated her nose and it didn’t feel normal. But in her old photos, it looks lovely. Sometimes what we hyper-focus on about ourselves isn’t even noticeable to others, and what we need to do is try to appreciate that thing about us that we perceive as different from an “ideal.”

@@brianna4657 I know you’re trying to be positive but this persons nose was “badly broken.” The cosmetic aspect was likely correcting features that were not natural to this person. You’re right that people shouldn’t make each other feel bad for their appearances but that doesn’t mean people should have to walk around with broken bodies and visible reminders of trauma in order to make you feel like we’re all being accepting. I'm so impressed with your self advocacy and what you've put together to help others who might run into the same problem. AND I think its wise to have someone else screen comments for this excellent video. I'm a registered nurse - I think the nurse who worked with you that first day should have advocated for you - I do not think that your nose looked normal. Not only should the nurse have acted, but she should have followed through - no matter what the surgeon thought or did - to support you in the next steps of making sure that this was not necrosis (which of course it was). It seems that prior to any procedure like this one should be prepared, just as you said - have the nitro gel in hand, know where you can arrange hyperbaric oxygen treatments. But the team of doctor and nurse should have had this available for you at the ready really - you should not have had to struggle and lose time. What ever you choose to do next will be the best choice. You are already beautiful. Warmest regards and continued healing. Jennie

Hi Lorry, you have my full sympathy for the trauma you've been through. I recently, in December, had a mini face-lift and liposuction to my neck. After taking off the compression mask for the first time, after 48hours, I had a gaping hole behind my ear. This soon turned into two holes, and then one appeared behind my other ear. It wasn't long till the same thing happened on either side of my neck, add to that, I got an infection in the wounds. I was a mess I had two courses of antibiotics, but I didn't really notice any healing till I started using high strength vitamin C serum. My wounds have healed now, and the infection has gone, but I've been left badly scarred on my neck. The incisions for the face-lift have healed well, they're smooth and I'm using a scar gel, but the two either side of my neck i feel will never fade, I feel mutilated if I'm honest. I had checked my surgeon out beforehand. He had glowing testimonials and was highly thought of but he was very hard to contact after my procedures and I feel if I had gotten the antibiotics sooner then the infection wouldn't have got such a deep hold on the incisions. Maybe I'm wrong, but I definitely think he was very lax in his aftercare. I will never have another procedure, ever

Sorry you had to go through this but glad you were persistent in getting it resolved. There were times I'm sure, it must have been terrifying. Your presentations have educated and inspired a lot of people. Again, thanks.
