Great video Lloyd, happy anniversary, the video was totally infectious and the excitement is still brimming over, I remember the visit like yesterday it was a blast ( excuse the pun ) until folk actually visit Perazzi , they don’t understand how bespoke the whole process is. For those who were thinking about it, this video show cement confidence in taking the plunge, I had contact with Mauro last week and I think he is quietly optimistic for the future, I think he mentioned the High Tech is now over 90% of the factory’s production. Again fantastic insight for your “ new baby “ enjoy and happy anniversary to you and Mrs P.

Amazing gun Lloyd. I know this review is almost 2 years old now, but happy 10th ( almost 12th ) anniversary to you and your lovely bride. I replayed this review as I missed the weight, but then noticed you said it weighs 8 and a bit. Must be an incredible lively gun for sure. The SC3 wood that Mauro picked out has to be the nicest I've ever seen. I shoot a K-80 Parcours, and it weighs 8#-6 ounces with 32" barrels. Watching this video, and others you have done, make me think I may also look at a Perazzi again. I owned one back in the early 1990's, a Mirage Sporting with 29.5" barrels which were a popular barrel length back then. I tried a 34" model but barrels seemed a tad too long for me. Well, Lloyd, maybe this summer I'll trade the K-80. Enjoy your reviews very much sir. Do you shoot 1 ounce loads most of the time at clays ? All the best my friend. Rob G. in Missouri
@lloydyp2 жыл бұрын
Thank you Rob, yeah it’s one hell of a pretty gun. Mostly in the UK we shoot between 24 and 28 gram loads for clays. 28g is 1oz.

Awesome Lloyd.This gun is an absolute masterpiece. Just wondering the reasons why you would not go for multichokes instead of the fixed chokes. Would have thought going with screw in chokes would make the gun more versatile. Skeet, trap and sporting.. Cheers

I regularly shoot all the disciplines you mention with fixed chokes. I shot my krieghoff which was an MC with the same chokes in for 2 years. I am squarely in the camp that doesnt worry about chokes, regardless of the target or presentation.

Hi Lloyd as always great review, just wondering why you would bypass the possibility of detachable trigger group and ease of service vs fixed triggers, cost is almost the same. Also what constrictions in metric did you go for and why? you tal about half and three quarter but what exactly are they. have seen several P choked half and half 6 and 6 in metric and performing quite well. I am about to follow your steps and have my third P made!!!
@lloydyp3 жыл бұрын
6 and 7, and I don't see servicing the trigger group as something I need to do often enough to warrant going for leaf springs.

@@lloydyp tks Lloyd, just got mine today!! HTS 32 inch fixed chokes, adjustable stock, dealer had one and picked it up. Choked 6 and 8, my only concern they may be too tight????you mention possibility of opening chokes if need be, why would you not consider Briely or Teague thin walls as an alternative?
@lloydyp3 жыл бұрын

@neilbrailsford18884 жыл бұрын

@lloydyp4 жыл бұрын
Hmm, now theres a question. If money were no object and I were shooting a lot, I would have a K80/K20 Parcours. In the real world I think a nice used DT10 would make a lovely game gun. My game / wet gun is a Browning these days and there are some lovely Miroku game guns.
@richard742003 жыл бұрын
Hi Lloyd, you mentioned that you went for the 18.4 bore in case you can only shoot fibre in the future. Have you thought of the choke constriction of 3/4 and shooting steel? Would you have this choke opened to half in the future, if as in Denmark we all have to give up shooting lead, even for target shooting, or would you be confident to shoot standard steel target loads through these fixed chokes? Just curious as I know this is a long term gun for you.
@lloydyp3 жыл бұрын

Hey Lloyd! What’s your opinion on the point-ability with the reverse taper rib compared to the regular tapered ribs perazzi offer on the mx8?
@lloydyp4 жыл бұрын
It has more neutral balance which for me makes it much more controllable in the swing. I don't really think of shotguns as pointable as that suggests pointing at a static target.

I can see you're still in honeymoon with the gun, and it is a great gun indeed, I have one of my own wich I unfortunately stopped shooting because..... recoil. Yes, when I shot it a lot (like hundreds of shots a day) it punished my shoulder harder when compared to others (like DTs, K-80s, Brownings, etc). BTW, I did go to the factory and and had the stock set for me there. I currently shoot a F3, which I can shoot all day long with no disconfort whatsoever.... like I used to do with my previous 692.... And other guys in my club also agree that their Perazzis DO kick a little harder than other guns theys previously owned. Have you noticed anything like that?
@lloydyp4 жыл бұрын
Completely the opposite I'm afraid. I have had issues with guns that didnt fit but never with one that fit me.
@orbitdist4 жыл бұрын
Ronaldo. I too have a HTS 32inch.. Purchased as used last year and an F3 deluxe purchased as new this year. So the same guns as yourself. The HTS has very little recoil compared to the F3.. I'm not saying the F3 is bad because its not. The two guns really offer different feelings and handling. If your HTS is kicking.. Maybe get it checked for fit again. As a side comment.. I did feel some recoil with heavy loads on the HTS but that was 32g I think.. But yes.. They left a bruise or two.

I noticed you have a quirky gun mount. the gun out of your shoulder is slightly tilted off the vertical. us this something you're aware of, not aware of, deliberate, or just evolved as your style over time? Lloyd I live in the US and the Perazzi USA HQ is a short plane ride away as we're both on the West Coast. I spoke with the USA Manager Al and he said he can do a gun fitting for me here at the USA HQ. The gun would still be all made to measure and I'd get to see the products there in person but I would sacrifice the chance to actually go to the factory in Italy and have the final fitting done. Do you think it's worth to fly from the US to Italy for the factory fitting or should I trust the USA HQ to get all the measurements and choices right for me?
@lloydyp2 жыл бұрын
I can't comment on the quality of the fitting. What I will say is that it depends on how much customisation you want in the gun. At the factory you can tweak everything during the process and get every detail sorted. I would be interested to hear how they address that remotely.
@BeatRock2532 жыл бұрын
@@lloydyp my understanding is that all of the fitting and measuring is done remotely and then the gun is delivered fully built. I don't know if there is any remote correspondence with the factory after the initial fit.

Any chance of reviewing the krieghoff kx6 special ? I don’t think there’s a single review on KZfaq.

Looks like its a US only gun so it's unlikely I would be able to get hold of one I'm afraid.

Wow, what about the Beretta, Kri=egoff, etc... man you must own a dozen of these shotguns, which I envy very much. The best shotgun that I can afford is the Beretta 686 silver pigeon which is fantastic for me.

Actually I only have a few guns. The Perazzi, a Browning Ultra XS, a Benelli M2 and an old Remington 1187.

Hi Lloyd How wide is the action compared to the K-80?
@lloydyp4 жыл бұрын
K80 action is 41mm, HT is 44mm. Not as much difference as you would think.

Beautiful wood. Is it an oiled finish or a lacquer?

Lacquer.

Very nice gun. What does a custom gun cost ?
@lloydyp3 жыл бұрын
Base cost covers the custom work. However Perazzi prices are due to go up Jan 1st due to brexit so I cant comment til after the new pricing is announced.

I'd be curious to learn how did you decide to switch from Krieghoff to Perazzi... (It crossed my mind someone else could've asked the question meanwhile... but there are so many comments, I just can't go through all of them to find out...)
