It obviously doesn't work, even on the phone in the video, as the options to clear the cache and data are not available. clicking on something that is greyed out does nothing. This video also shows the micro sd card being removed without shutting down the phone first, which is not a safe way to do it.

The options are greyed out, this clearly does not work and he's hoping the reset solves the issue. The rest is placebo. I don't know how so many comments are saying it works when at 1:25 you can clearly see you cannot press any of those options. The better option to put another SD card in, open it and browse some files, then eject it and put back your original SD card that wasn't working.

Same problem but my phone can't detect memory card it always says I have to reset the memory card for it to open but I can't because I don't want to, there's so many pictures let's say memories in that memory card. How can i fix it? My phone is samsung

I was having an issue on my new Fiio M11 Pro ESS -- it would only recognize any SD card I threw at it as "corrupted" in portable mode, even though the cards were not.
