So fun fact the 2007 TMNT animated movie made by imagi animation was connected to those three ninety movies and the sequel they were planning before they shut down seemed to be going in that direction as the one or two pieces of concept art revealed for that movie seemed to be going into the last ronin direction with the art being of Mickey holding his brothers bandas with a rat on his shoulder as he looks down scared and sad

A lot of my favorite kids movies from the 80s and 90s didn’t age well. They were often poor stories used to sell toys and merchandise. The first Ninja Turtles movie actually aged pretty well when I went back and watched it as an adult. Outside of The Turtles, it was very realistic in storytelling and direction. It had that grimy New York crime scene feel to it.

I think the best would be him grabbing the staff, the scene goes to black and all we hear is that sound of the Time Machine. We get a flash of the staff and it says “TMNT: The Last Ronin.” on the screen.

Just my take.. I'm much older than you so the 90s turtles are actually my era of TMNT. Connecting the two would not make a difference for us honestly. The tones of both are so different and I get why the tone would change but putting that much pressure on the writers and everyone involved is not fair. Let them cook and honestly, stuff like this is what has a negative impact on peoples expectations imo with all that said, I love you Cris and it would be cool if they connected this version to the 90s version 😂

Your pitch doesn't make sense the old 90s movies weren't about the turtles they were an After School special at best with the human characters being the focal point of the A plot and B plot of the first two films and the turtles take a back steat in their own movies... why would you make last ronin movie let alone a rip off of Xmen days of future past with the third movies scepter mcguffin?... the last ronin nor tmnt 3 1992 film featured the turtles ally, Renet the timestress whos absent that could've helped the turtles prevent the foots ambush that spiraled into Raphaels death leonardo and casey being blown up or donatello and splinter being pumped full of arrows, the books and movies forgot about lord simultaneous, or her antagonist who resembles wish master djin "savanti romero" where the scepter comes from? The 1990s film trilogy foot clan is grounded in realism, how would the foot take over new york and get robot synja police force if they have no resources, other than an oc henchmen second in command Tatsu and shredder stealing from the t.g.r.i. building kidnapping oc character professor perry and recruiting misguided wayward teens grooming these kids to be muggars and thieves who rob and steal from lower income neighborhoods for things only children would like none of their members are tech savy and they live in junk yards and abandoned warehouses. They arent military contractors or engineers they arent using guns or high tech gadgets they just use ninja melee weapons and their fist, Shredder is a lonely incel in the old movies so how could he have a daughter or grandchild heir in Hiroto Orroku if we know little about orroku saki in the older movies world? (techno cosmic research institute *) the utrom aliens dahoonib galactic federation triceraton space saga to earth calling the company that transformed the turtles and splinter to t.g.r.i. (techno global research institute. *) and made up an o.c. professor perry character who handled the mutagen. Karai is not an orroku shes actually his superior jonin at the foot headquarters in japan in the mirage source material with her own daughter who was slain by a foot elite named amai in her first appearance. the events of city at wars truce between karai and the turtles never happened in the 1990s film universe karai was created during the time the 1990 movie came out and orroku nagi shredders brother is combined with orroku saki making him an incel. *) so it doesnt make sense to tie it into the 1990 films, when the 1990s films are a combination of 87 and mirage in the first film only, the sequels heavily leans into the 87 cartoons gimmicks Peter Laird hated such as super shredder, bebop& rocksteady analogs tokka and rhazar. Tmnt 2007 is not in the same continuity of the 1990s trillogy universe. if thats the case ninja turtles the next mutation is apart of the 1990s trillogy continuity when they utilize costumes from the movies for the foot the Vancouver abandoned subway set from secret of the ooze and tmnt 3 is utilized and are canonically following the movies aging the turtles to being young adults. Tmnt 2007 and next mutation are in their own divergent universes thats in the haim saban mighty morphin power rangers universe, and the other is inspired by the cw 4kids foxbox 2003 cartoon. shredder in the opening credits is dressed different from the easter egg and the cancled sequel was a different movie idea from the roninverse, the foot arent wayward teens in 2007 film their silent adults who are hired merchs of max winters and karai was no where present in the older movies, tatsu was second in command and disappeared after the secret of the ooze. The trophy wall in tmnt 2007 makes no sense they never recovered shredders kabuto and mempo from the 1990s film cause he wears the kabuto when he falls in the garbage vehicle and he customized its trident crest to be saraded with saw blades on it and gold pieces the helmet and mask was transformed with the ooze he drank into the supershredder helmet that was most likely fused to his face. the honor guard samurai armor in their lair from tmnt 3 makes no sense cause they went back to the present butt naked and left the armor back in fuedal japan and theres no Keno theres no Charles Pennington, chief sterns, theres no Danny Pennington mentioned in the 3rd movie or the fourth let alone in the roninverse.

You are asking a lot from the audience if you are connecting it to something from 30 years ago that a small group of people will understand.
