Not started with them at moment I have mix of high dividends such as ORCHID and MPW what yoi think of those? I do have opposits such as Microsoft, Home Depot and Starbucks. Also no dividends stocks I have chargepoint and Amazon

I'm seeing the yield is 3.4% with essentially flat price YTD. Why is this good? I did a quick google search and one called CIM is paying 10.26%. TWO is paying 13.62%. DX is paying 12.96%. What am I missing here?

My son has 12 full shares in a custodial account, he just turned 1, I have built his portfolio up to $1700 in 1 year. My step son has 7 shares, he is 10, his account is also roughly $1700 in the same year. 😊 my Roth is geared more towards option trading income and that is currently at around $35k in the same 1 year. 😊

@@AZsmoothrider custodial account, I am the custodian, they do not have ownership until 21 years of age 😊 nothing illegal about it

@@the_humble_trucker maybe different for your account. I was researching custodial Roths. Rules say minor has to show earned income greater than contributions.

I originally had 31.25 shares of SCHD, and it's been a decent ETF so far and the dividends have been great, but I wanted to increase my growth stocks position (NVIDIA, Eaton, Google, etc...) so my streak with SCHD has officially come to an end. I might consider buying the ETF again some other day, but like you mentioned in your other videos, I'll be missing out on the increase of SCHD's yield on cost over time, but I see that as a fair trade-off.

@@rynewilliams Yeah I sold out of the fund completely which, with 31.25 shares, gave me a decent amount of cash to allocate into other positions. I wanted to seize my opportunity with NVIDIA and other growth positions, and this is mostly because I’m still in my teens so I’ll take on some more risk with growth stocks but my end goal is to generate dividend income. Hopefully that made sense lol😅. What’s your take on that Ryne? 😃

@@rynewilliams if in the next year or so it takes a 25%+ drop maybe as deep as 35%. Do you plan to stop loss, just DCA in forever or just try to buy the dip? Thanks. I am predicting a housing market crash in 2028 and have a feeling when things reach that point a lot of these overbought luxury stocks will potentially downtrend a while.

Why do so many people like SCHD so much? I currently own VIG, but no SCHD because none of their holdings really stuck out as ones I see as future outperformers.

SCHD uses a methodology that a company needs to have a past history of raising dividends in order to be included. It's basically banking on consistency carrying forward rather than speculating on growth.
