I can't quite believe it but after 11 months, 30,000 miles and around 25 countries, my Porsche 911 Carrera T has now finished #DriveTheWorld. I personally still have a few more weeks to go and a couple more destinations to get to but the car has completed its journey and is now headed back to the UK with CARS.

Because he doesn't act like a twelve year old, straight pipe his car, scream and shout and talk shite. Just look at the little girl Archie Hamilton who has a new video (which I won't be watching) about how he nearly crashed a lambo. Already he has 25k views. It's crazy that so much shite from little girls get as opposed to quality content for adults from Sam. Makes me sick and fear for the future of this kind of quality.

I think Sam truly missed an opportunity to create really spectacular content. I would have enjoyed experiencing the different cultures, cuisine,cars and landscapes in greater depth through Sam’s eyes. The overall content was lackluster and unplanned. This was Sam’s 12 month vacation.

@@soulmaster63 I agree. Sam appeals to an older audience, and I feel he could have done a little less supercar content to focus on the local car scenes and travel stories more. However he may have tried that, and views, and therefore income took a dive, so decided to stick to supercar content.

The apple android analogy was so perfect and so true 😂. You’re so right about the majority of the roads in the states. I’ve been fortunate enough to own some nice cars and am constantly frustrated that their are hardly any decent driving roads....just miles and miles of boring and heavily regulated highways. Envious of you guys in Europe

I live in Wisconsin but what I have enjoyed is that you have shown me wonderful auto content and parts of the US that I have been fortunate to see as a bit of a reminder. Something else you brought forth is to not wait to travel because I did become disabled and unfortunately cannot do as much traveling. Fortunately about 11years ago I was able to go to Germany and France and have many wonderful memories of that trip. One of the most special parts though were the people and their automobiles no matter if they million$ plus or whatever they were and the people’s joy but also the special ones that brought true joy to you.

A bit sad that the #DriveTheWorld is almost over. But then i am a bit exited to see what's to come next. Hope you finish in the trip in UK with a roadtrip in the 360. Wish you'd go to South America instead of USA and UAE. Tired of everyone making content in USA and UAE. Most of it is almost the same on every channel. South America would have exited me more. The most memorable for me was the Finland, Sweden and Norwegian videos. Since i live in Norway i have driven on a lot of these roads. Was cool to see you on familiar roads. Keep up the great work.

We have to give it up to you for doing Drive The World and taking the leap of faith. Also, its awesome that these countries got left out. You'll only have more fun things to do and now that this whole series has really upped your credibility, you've created an ocean of opportunities out there. Even though you had other cars to drive, seeing you in the 911 somehow gave a feeling of completeness in the videos and it's incredible how reliable this car has been. I'm a bit embarrassed to say I subscribed to 267 channels and 95% of them are car channels. Sam, yours is always at the top of the list because as soon as you post, I watch from beginning to end. Impossible to cover everything all of us would like to see from culture to cuisine to geography to... You've done an incredible job making your Drive the world posts interesting, informative, and just downright fun. I love DriveTheWorld so much. The car(s), the scenery, you, everything has been awesome. I would "fund" it again on a kickstarter, for a campaign that you can name "ran out of money". I can't believe that my year passed so fast just by watching it. It's been more than amazing. I don't care if you send the car back, but if you need more money so that you have a slight comfort in what you do, I'm sure that many of us will support you again! If you keep the 911t forever that's ok. But if you sell it, please give it to someone that will use it and keep it as is. For me, you and the car have made history together. I would buy it for normal price of NEW 911t + the mods that you've already done, if I could afford it, just to save it as is.

Sam, DTW has been amazing. You are the first You Tuber I have followed and I have loved your content, your humble style and your enjoyment of the opportunities you get. You put us there with you. You make us enjoy the experience with you. You do it all with a simple joy. Gonna miss DTW. My favourite experience with the 991 T was Pikes Peak. It just seemed like that summed up the enjoyment you have, a classic road, the scenery and doing it alongside a McLaren too.

YURI you are right, but as someone who worked down there for awhile I can say it is not an especially nice place as a whole. It wouldn’t be smart to travel down there in a 100k car with 10k in camera equipment. Just last week a Mexican Cartel group murdered like 15 Americans because the Cartels mistook them as a rival gang. Three babies under the age of four died as well. Trust me when I say it is not safe.

We’ve had many issues with our 2018 911 Carrara S. In the first 20k miles it has already had its engine out of the car because of a “valve gasket leak.” Now it’s back at the shop with a bad water pump. Each time it’s in the shop it takes them a couple of months to get repaired. Porsche has extended our warranty, but i would much rather not be without my car for 1/4 of the year due to mechanical issues.

The series has been amazing Sam, and the fact it’s been a year coming is unbelievable .... where has that year gone?? Maybe a final follow up at the very end of the adventure would be to show your route on a map ... would be interesting to see where all you visited as an image.

I think you should keep the car! But I understand that you’ve become so used to it and now looking out for something else... maybe if you mod it (exhaust, suspension, tune what ever) it’ll transform the car and make you fall in love with.
