In my opinion, there are a few reasons why people don't buy this car: 1. Price: It's too expensive. 2. Size: It's too big to be considered a true hot hatchback. 3. Styling: It lacks the appeal of previous generation models. They stood out from everything else available. I think Honda missed the mark with this one, and the low sales numbers reflect that. It may be a fantastic car to drive, and it is. However, people buy with their eyes, and this is no different from any other FL5 bar the wing and bonnet. Most won't notice the flared arches.

I've got a GR Yaris and the Civic model bellow this- the Advance Hybrid, which allows me to carry my e-mtb in the boot, unfortunately the GR doesn't, Both are very fun to drive in very different ways.

Seems naive to expect better economy with RS power. Cylinder deactivation will help on autobahn and A roads but if you are using the capability of this engine, you will burn a lot of dinosaurs. That you can get even this level of economy with this much power is a minor miracle. If you want more, get an electric, yes?

Thankfully, in the US, we can still get the Golf with a manual.

My EP3 is a tenth of the price and has the gear change on the dash. Less than a hands width from the steering wheel. 197bhp and as Chris Harris said, modern hot hatches could learn a lot from it. He is spot on. A fantastic, little car, that would fit in the boot of most modern vehicles.

Own a 4C. Have driven extensively in the f type (and been VERY disappointed). And 8 years on, it looks like a terrible decision. I still own my 4C from 2015, and although it has it's downsides, it also inspires love. The f type has just fallen into oblivion. I must admit I no longer take it to London where the lack of power steering/ parking is a big problem. But it's still a proper baby supercar.

Sorry, £50k for a manual car with a plasticky interior doesn't do it for me. Credit to them for making it but you have to wonder who their target market are and how many they expect to sell. I reckon most people would go Golf R or S3 at that level.

For a second i thought you drove the speedy kiwi special, very similar spec to it, video peaked my interest cause i sat in one as a wee kid. Core memory. Sadly it isnt cause it doesnt have the old kiwi symbol on the side skirts but by god its a lovely car
