I love my Pothos Plant in very low light she turns dark green. Once went on a 5-week vacation and the plant was just fine. Mine is 32 years old but, I'm guessing they can live forever. 😍😍

I am so impressed by your clear decent tutorial, and believe or not this is neither a compliment nor a tip to gain comprehensive answers to my coming questions but true impression after watching hundreds of videos on KZfaq about my 50 plant types and about others too. My q, if I may please .. I have recently 3 pothos one is in water, got lot of hairy long roots and aerial tiny roots on the vines, not growing much. Two is a cutting taken from a node of the 1st one, planted in water till a root was generated, then moved to soil after becoming 4 cm length, grown 1 leaf and went sadly to sleeping against my target to get it big and climb a ready moss pole, but how to get it there while it is not getting any aerial roots like his parent grown in water. 3rd one is a golden type that is typically little more in vines length and size as the one in this video, I got it in only 16cm hanger, and I am sure it is root bound, but I also want to prune some vines to propagate and hopefully get them beside the 2nd one to have a pothos stick plant. Should wait till spring to do pruning? Should propagate in soil or water? What to do To get climbing aerial roots? Can I split vine with its roots like dividing sansivieria for example? Thx

Hi Bassem, Thank you for watching! 🌱 - Should wait till spring to do pruning? I prefer to prune my plants in early Spring as plants start growing and get in fuller shape faster. - Should propagate in soil or water? Water propagation is my favorite method as I can see new roots grow + check for any root issues + it is a faster process. - What to do To get climbing aerial roots? Areal roots grow actively when the plant is searching for more moisture, and to support itself as it grows (attach to a wall or a pole). They might not grow as much if the plant is regularly watered (or grows in water) or if the vines are not mature enough, do not cascade and do not need those roots for support yet. Also, Aerial roots do not grow much in a low humidity environment. You may try to mist your Pothos plant regularly to stimulate growth of these roots. - Can I split vine with its roots like dividing Sansevieria for example? You may cut a stem in a few places and place cuttings in water. Make sure the cutting has nodes and it is submerged in water. Green Cheers & May Your Plants Grow Happy and Healthy!

Fantastically beautiful and easy to care plant. I have one, cut and propagate it. Wash it in shower once a month or two.

Hi Dev! I do not have a video about how to propagate Pothos plants but this is the video you can watch to understand how to prune the stems and propagate them kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bsx2q6yWks_bqmQ.html *** Once the cutting show 2-3 inches long roots, you may pot them in the same pot where the original Pothos lives. Green Luck! 🌱

Do you have any specific guidelines for the snow queen pothos? They are a bit tougher to maintain.
@Mycityplants
@Mycityplants 4 жыл бұрын
The most important: - allow the soil to dry well between waterings. - make sure plant is potted in pot with drainage - use soil that offers great porosity - fertilize during Spring time What I use for my plants: Soil Meter bit.ly/2yuXVpc Soil bit.ly/2SumKuf Planters bit.ly/3fp2qUW Plant Food bit.ly/35qzXtf GREEN LUCK!

What type of hook is the planter hanging on? I would like to get one of these hanging planters.
@Mycityplants
@Mycityplants 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Jocelyn, Thank you for watching! You need a wall bracket and S-hook to hang the Nido self-watering planter. One of the wall bracket/wall hook options amzn.to/3mXxONJ S-Hook amzn.to/3lY0chp Nido hanging planters can be purchased here: mycityplants.com/collections/nido-cottage-planter P.S. make sure to use anchors as the planter gets very heavy with water:) Green Luck! 🌱

Do photos cling to walls? I want to put one on top of a tall cabinet to have it cascade on the side, but I don't want any clinging or rooting on the sides of the cabinet to hopefully not ruin the antique.
@Mycityplants
@Mycityplants 2 жыл бұрын
Hi! The plant might cling to a wall if you want it to decorate the wall with this plant : kzfaq.info/get/bejne/fc5on9Sju7TPpIE.html I did not see it clinging to a shelf or other furniture when plant cascades. Simply check it once in a while and detach it from the surface if it starts attaching itself to it. You may cut the roots that are attached to the surface. Thank you for watching 🌱

The photo is growing in self watering pot, why lack of water (some yellow leaves)?
@Mycityplants
@Mycityplants 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Zion, There are always should be a break between watering - through the soil or by re-filling the water reservoir. Length of the break "dry phase" depends on the plant type, pot size, light, temperature, humidity, and air circulation. If the break is too long, for the plant type you have, or too long, it will stress out the plant, and as a result, leaves will turn yellow or brown, wilt or dry out.

Hello Jamal, Thank you for watching! It is best for this plans to allow the soil to dry well before watering. I hope that with adjusted watering frequency your plant will recover and thrive. You will also find some helpful tips in my video about how to save an overwatered plant bit.ly/3qtI1T6 Green Luck 🪴

Hi! Thank you for watching 🌱 The plant lives in a darker part of the apartment and that is why the variegation is not so pronounced.
