My Problem With the Jigokuraku Anime

heavily agree on this. i recommended this show to my friends who haven't read the manga yet and i kinda feel bad cause the anime just doesn't hit the same spot the manga does. It's not bad, but I feel like the pacing/timing in the anime is subpar. the animation is pretty great tho and the art can be really good at times.

for example in the most recent episode when they introduce chobe and do his "I AM MY OWN GOD, MY ONLY LORD IS ME" thing it felt so so so much cooler in the manga for me. maybe its cause I've seen it before already but I swear I looked at that panel for like 5 whole minutes on my first read.

Yee sounds good. The anime was fine from what I watched and I really enjoyed how they animated certain scenes (Gabimaru on fire) but the manga is great as well

This video is just a small part of a video I released a few days ago. Jigokuraku is great and the anime is good, that applies to all the series I mentioned here. I just think folk should check out the manga alongside the anime! It's real good stuff

The anime is good, but it never hurts to check out the source material. Be it manga or Light Nove. So, i agree. After i watched the first episode, i binged the manga in one day, it was great xD Now i watch the anime aswell. To be completely honest though, i like the adaptation. I didn't feel the same way you and some others feel, it seems. But my point still stands, it never hurts to check out the source material

I'm liking Jigokuraku's adaptation better than Chainsaw Man's one, but yeah... unfortunately I feel the same way you do about these shows.

I love the Chainsaw Man adaptation and there was clear love put into that one. I think with all the series I mentioned, the anime and manga can coexist. They both got their strengths and weaknesses

@@Santanael Yeah, for sure. Even if I wasn't too much of a fan, there were some great scenes, and things like the OP and EDs were *amazing*

The Woman Called Fujiko Mine is an anime with messy manga style. So it's possible to make it, but people don't want it

as an anime only, I'm loving the Hell's Paradise anime already, but maybe I'll read the manga sometime after It's probably like Chainsaw man right? The anime is very great, but the manga just has it's own vibe to not get invalidated reading it

You wan't anime adaptation art to be as good as manga?? 🤔 I don't know but for I think it is just too hard for them. And also Jigokuraku is a type of fighting anime and the manga itself isn't that popular. So no way mappa gonna burn all of there money on this anime. But atleast it is better than chainsaw man shitty cgi.
