I am on vacation in at the moment, staying at the home of my mom and brother who live in Sanur, here on the island of Gods, Bali.
I was sent these Indonesian Natural Whetstones from Bogor, West Java.
Obviously I don't have my complete sharpening set-up with me, nor any quality steel blades. So I just used the stones for some edge sharpening on two of my moms crappy stainless steels, for a quick impression.
When I get back home in Amsterdam, I will put these stones through the wringer and test them on better steels, compare them to other stones, and attempt to do a Kasumi finish with the higher grit stones.
