I LOVED how you showed us that we could have almost a full face of makeup without using a billion different brushes. A sponge is so versatile AND so much more cost effective. Thank you!

I feel like a lot of beauty gurus have pretty much stopped doing tutorials to focus on hauls, collabs, reviews and challenges etc, which are all awesome and I love them, but it is just so nice to get an actual tutorial! I always learn sooo much from you and I really hope to see more from you soon

Jaclyn could you consider doing a vlog? I feel like you are doing so much behind the camera as you are always talking about having so many meetings and stuff that you are working on. And obviously I get it that you cant show us upcoming products from yours, but I would love to see you walking around your house, showing us what you eat, showing us what you wear, taking us with you shopping, driving to a meeting, etc... I would SO love to see more of YOU! :) ❤

I agree, I was going to comment that even after all her time on youtube, i still feel like I am getting personal lessons from a makeup artist and I love that she has stayed true to teaching techniques to us because I have always found it very helpful and I feel like she teaches in a way that many channels often don't do

Katherine Barclay you can apply the same techniques and substitute product. Pay attention to the words she (or even sephoras website) uses to explain the product, then substitute. I doubt Jaclyn will do many affordable videos, luxury seems to be her thing.

I have personal experience with these. They are the closest dupes, but my issue is the drug store never had my exact shade. Dior Skin- Hard Candy Pigment Drops Tatcha Mist- Pur Miracle Mist. Its similar, but not exact. Use a spray with hella glycerin. Setting powder- I hate that Lancome powder!! Did you see how pink it made her? It's pink af. There isn't anything like it on the market But Nyx has an amazing luminous powder called Nyx No Filter Powder . Its the exact dupe for MAC mineralized powder and gives a luminous effect.

Tapping the excess powder off the sponge before you apply is the greatest tip I’ve seen on KZfaq in a while. I’ve tried applying pressed powders with a beauty sponge, and it never looks right. Definitely going to try this!!

katie gunderson I can definitely recommend using a sponge for all powders. I love it - especially for powder foundation. it makes everything look more like your skin because the sponge helps the product melt into your skin in a way that a brush just can't

Yes to the Jaclyn Hill outtakes making a comeback. I love those little extras at the end. This look is wonderful and has great timing. I’m in my mid-30s, and my skin has decided to act a fool. It is still a little oily at times but now I’m getting these gnarly dry patches when I apply any makeup to my face. I don’t know what’s happening to my face, actually the skin on my whole body. It’s all going dry. Uh! These tutorials are super helpful. Keep ‘em coming.

Honestly I hella love this look ! I love the techniques with the sponge because yes powders tend to make my skin look cakey and thick and gross The setting spray with the sponge just is perfect! MELTS EVERYTHING TOGETHER SOOOOO NICE ! LOVE THIS JACLYN Thanks!

the glowy skin trend has been a godsend for my semi-oily skin. I used to be so insecure about my natural shine I would get mid-day, but now I kind of love it because of make up artist doing looks like this. Plus I save money hahaha
