In todays review, we meet a site manager the deffo did not want me to fly the drone over the site, and gets his mate to take my Reg Number on the car.

He must have phoned the police, because as I was leaving they turn up, and guess what, they were brilliant.
We had a nice chat about drones, they were quite happy that I did nothing wrong and we parted company without any problems. Why cant all police be like these two.

This is the two tier policing they were protesting the other day. Natives face a different level of scrutiny. The problem is embodied in that photograph of the German guy who was being attacked by a knife wielding terrorist being tackled by the police, and the terrorist is stabbing the cop in the neck. They will aggressively attack us at any chance yet ignore a murderer behind them and they're so committed to their racist antics that they will die rather than stop and re-evaluate their position.

Now that takes real police work with a lot of time and effort being put in and costs the police a fortune to do so. That’s why they rarely turn up as they haven’t the means to, money and time to investigate it. Priorities are all wrong with them.

A guy crashes into the back of my car and drives off. I am following him speaking to the police looks like he has to much to drink. Police tells me to stop following go on line fill in form they will be in touch within 3 months. Three months later police letter arrives saying they are taking no further action. A man with a camera police arrive. Hit and run police not interested why?

Ignore that crap "stop, don't follow" advice. Follow the drunk hit and run driver until he crashes or stops somewhere... and then inform the Police again. How much trouble did your insurance company give you re identifying and getting the details of the offending driver? Did it mean you losing your no claims bonus....and an increase in the following year's insurance? If so the Police should have been far more responsive to you...the victim. Had you been injured and incapacitated in the crash would it still have taken 3 months for a "no further action" result????

I wouldn't say the full bald guy was nice and pleasant overall, he was persistently fishing and waiting for you to trip up, he would have been all over you a rash had you done so, not the sort of PC I would necessarily want to deal with.

I did my pilots license in 1996! Good to know you're a fellow pilot PJ! Although it's ironic he was more interested in the far easier to get pilots license than the real pilots license! I've been flying RC since the 80's, it's a shame how legislated the hobby has become. It's even more frustrating when most of the cops are younger than the time we've been flying telling us how dangerous drones are.

"Is there a reason why you'd want to fly around here?"...... "There are nicer areas to fly in".......Meaning: You can fly in the countryside or over a field. No companies that we have a good relationship with the managing director with. The police hate you having and using a drone in unrestricted airspace!

I'm getting the distinct impression that supposedly ranked "drone officers" think that wearing the badge means that they are an authority on drone laws. It's obviously not; just listen to what's being said here and the distaste of your own flying. Too many accusatory questions and too much opinion. He's a clever clogs, who'll come unstuck.

Hey PJ you probably already know but just in case thought I would give you a heads up. Those high megapixel cameras create huge file sizes that eat up memory like there is no tomorrow and also require alot of computing power to edit. Any cheers love your work.

@PJAudits I've been lazy on A2CofC started ages ago going through the info at a snails pace. Mini 2 is still a great drone, but video quality on min 3 and 4 was a noticeable improvement. I'll check out googling flying BVLOS.
