So happy to see my Hometown. I was about 3 doors down to the right, where Jailall’s brother Mano buddy was. That was my house. My Dad was Jailall’s Mamoo, called Paul. What a memory. Think I remember your Dad as a boy. That monkeyapple was across from your house, that I remember. We left in 1956 approx. Thank you. Great job!

I am not a born Essequibian, but I lived at Suddie for several years when my dad worked as an Officer at Essequibo Boys School. I attended Anna Regina Multilateral Secondary (ARMS). Essequibo is the best. Period! For me there is no place in Guyana like Quibo. Lakes, rivers, beaches, etc are the best. Fruits, vegetables and supplies were very plentiful back in late '60s to '80s. Cost of living was the cheapest (lowest). The Quibo Coast was the cleanest in the county in those days. I have only visited twice on short trips since I left Guyana. In 1990 and in 2007 the trips and stays was too short.

Have to add my family was huge along the whole length of Essequibo! I remember Essequibo with the red brick roads and lots of Logies or the homes made of mud and coconut tree roofs. A big difference. Wonderful. Kamant Sankar came long after I left . Remember Jailall’s brother, Sasey worked there. Thank you for exploring.

It's always great to go back to your homeland and visit your family and your past. It allows us to appreciate the present and plan for the future. Speaking of which this makes me miss T&T even more but there is 2021 for my next trip.

Mr. Denny your videos always bring fond memories of Guyana to me. My dad’s family were from Essequibo. They were the Ramdass family. Every Easter the whole family would go on vacation at JC, Zorg or Sand Yard, as I remember. Those were the days. Thanks for always making me happy with your vlogs. Stay well and enjoy your family visiting.🌺😊
